You just pick up a Ford Escape cupholder and wire it into your front foot area light. Check this forum, there are several good threads to do this. The charging tray area can be lit by several different options. One plugs in the USB port, or one plugs in the round 12-volt port. Here again look through the forum to find the threads.
if you have the Ambiant lighting already , you don't need to splice anything for the cupholder as the plug is already there. just for some reason they didn't put the lighted cupholder in, you can also use forscan to enable the color changing menu

That's true! However, my '23 Outer Banks has Ambiant lighting, and did not have the factory wiring harness for the cup holder. They stopped putting them in at some point. If you do have it, you're lucky. Then it's just a plug-in procedure. Don't assume you have it if you're BS is '23 or newer.

My 24 OB did not have any plugs available for the cupholder lights I had to splice into the footwell light.

Stircrazy, could you give some more information on the color change menu with Forscan, I assumed the led bulb was just Ice-blue.

I was reading a post, cant remember if it is on here or on redit, that changing a few numbers with forscan would enable the color selection menu in the settings. it makes sense, every other ford that has had Ambiant lighting has been able to change the color so why not this one

oh I didn't want to hear that, I guess I will have to take a look and see if my 23 has it or not before I order anything.

Don't be discouraged. It's not that bad of a DIY project. I think the difference makes it worthwhile. There are several good threads (with pictures) on this project in this forum. Check them all out before you decide.

Mrmike is right, it is really a simple job, follow the directions on this forum and you won't go wrong.

Just an update to the cubby ambient light project, I installed it today it works fine, just have to see tomorrow morning how much it lights up the cubby area.

Also whilst I was in there, I decided to add a 12v outlet and a battery volt meter display.
Kinda happy with how it turned out, there is still plenty of room to charge my phone.
