This works for a front-wheel-drive vehicle. For a rear-wheel-drive you must put the tires with the most tread on the back, or you’ll find yourself in the ditch the first time it rains.Buying 4 tires at today's prices is a budget buster. I never rotate tires, so the front tires wear out faster. I put the old tires on the back and the new tires on the front. If you've ever had a front wheel blowout at 75 mph, you'll know why. It will yank you out of your lane, and perhaps roll you if you're one of those people who talk with their hands while driving.
