With all the "you gotta check here. And here. And here" I can't help but remember the "how do I get that darn VCR to record my favorite show each week" uber-discussion!

The clock on my parents' VCR always showed a flashing "12:00".

… just commenting on how crazy operating a car these days is with all these features. TBH, one of the reasons I joined this forum: it can be daunting.

My elderly mother asked me why I never texted her. I replied well mom you would need to have a cell phone first. She laughed. She never wanted a cell phone.
Somehow her cable box always got reset (thankfully she no longer had a VCR) and we had to set up her TV controls about once a month.
Getting old and constant technology changes don’t go together.
We always just helped her and never questioned what happened. We all get old someday.
