For those of you car campers do any of you have setups in which you leave the back hatch open all night? I was thinking about getting the Napier Sportz SUV tent but still sleeping in the car and would like to keep the back open while sleeping but I am worried about draining the battery. Any issues with that?

are any of you using a heater inside when camping? we are looking to do more winter camping this year, and are contemplating a heater of some sort with our jackery.
I did winter camping for the Ham Radio Winterfest event. It was 20 degrees F. I stuck a few of the battery operated hand warmers in the sleeping bag and that helped a lot. It did nothing for the noise from the gaggle of geese landing in the lake, the trains that came through a few times during the night, or the noise from the overhead commercial jets.

These all sound so comfortable. I usually use tents for when I go overlanding for example, but I have researched and there are a lot of other options too, but it depends which one suits you better. This article offers an overview of advantages and disadvantages of each sleeping way. https://nomadist.com/gear/rtt/alternatives-to-roof-top-tents/

Yes. I have that one with side screen room and it does not “seal” well around the curves of the rear end. So bugs can get in. I ended up using it as a standalone tent. You can isolate the “garage” by closing the hatch and zipping up the “back door”.
This step up I recommend using the Bronco has a storage place for food and gear.
Since I was off roading I chose not to keep attaching every night. Yes, had to keep food in at night because of bears. Fun!
