I don't have a problem with people looking in the windows or walking around the outside. Hell, I did that to a few I saw in parking lots before we got ours. I don't think I'd have an issue with buck buck either, because I would hope that other BS owners would treat my car with as much care as they treat their own.But I'm absolutely not okay with people snooping around or touching it without asking. I revere other people's vehicles by not touching them, and I expect them to do the same for me.
I WOULD, however, have a problem with a lookey lou putting their dirty paws all over my car. Brings to mind a personal experience of mine.
We bought the wife a Can-Am (BRP) Spyder when they first came out. She wanted her own bike, but she's short so finding one that could keep up with the group that was short enough for her to feel confident on was impossible. The Spyder was perfect.
I rode it to work a few times just to keep it exercised (heh), and I parked in a supermarket lot to get a deli sandwich for lunch one day. It has a nice trunk in the front, so you can put your helmet, jacket, etc inside. When I came out of the store there were a few knuckleheads standing around it, with one actually sitting on it. I walked over and said, "Hey, that's a nice ride. Is it yours?"
IDIOT: "No, I heard about these and this is the first one I've seen."
ME: "Well if it's not yours then why the f&%# are you sitting on it?"
IDIOT: "Is it yours?"
ME: "Yes, and I want you to get the f&%# off it. What's the matter with you? You don't sit on someone's ride without asking, man."
IDIOT: "Sorry. I didn't think you'd mind."
ME: "Would you mind if someone sat on your ride without asking?"
IDIOT: "Yeah, I guess I would."
ME: "Yeah, I guess you would."
