I just ordered a 30', 3/4" Bubba Rope at an all time Low price, of $128, as tracked by www,camelcamelcamel.com ., The Camelizer, There were less than 10 left when I ordered.
This was the best recovery Rope that Project Farmed tested and sold for $180 most of the last year and $160, before that. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01K2AH3F2?tag=cameldrops-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&language=en_US For those of you who got to this party late, it's on sale again, but for$157, this time. That's still a good price though

Ordered -- thanks for the heads up! Good research! I'm not an impulse buyer, but your post convinced me to go ahead.

BTW -- they claimed to have just 2 left -- so one (1) now. Seller looks good:

"Longhorn Moto
5 out of 5 stars -- 100% positive in the last 12 months (1193 ratings)"

I suppose this is off-topic, but WTF is up with product pricing these days?

I'm sure it's legal (assuming a free market) but it sure can be aggravating. In this case of course, it worked in my favor, but can you imagine having your eye on an item, or concert/airline tickets, only to have the price jacked way up before you can click 'place your order'?

Many products still have stable prices but some are crazy -- like this rope:

Bubba Rope (176655BKG) Renegade Rope, 3/ 4" x 20'

It's shorter and smaller diameter, IDK why it's so expensive.

Check out the price swing -- $167 to $339!!

Pricing is what it is. I hate getting airlines tickets these days. Same the some stuff on Amazon. You just have to decide what you are willing or not willing to pay. Look at the Sport, my local dealership is offering 4500 off a Badlands. 3500 from Ford and 1k of their own. A year ago, that was reversed. A Sport Badlands is 12k more than I paid two years ago. That’s nuts!

Ok, back on topic, seems to be a bunch of kinetic ropes available for cheap. I’m not in the recovery business so my use case is seldom. Like much of Harbor Freight stuff, good for a few uses but I may not want to make a living using some of the stuff from the cheap stuff.

Oh, you mean I'm actually supposed to USE it? But it might get scuffed and dirty. I plan to display it prominently -- coiled up in a side window.

No, seriously, we may never use it. If we do, hopefully it'll be to rescue someone else. It'll be stowed in the Badlands most of the time. When we take the View (RV) out I'll toss it in there.

To me it's like a fire extinguisher.

Also, I convinced the dealership (or Ford, IDK who paid) to give us the Curt shackle hitch receiver Ford sells, because there is no recovery point in the rear (due to the tow package). Needless to say, that Curt unit and the front recovery hooks are useless without a kinetic rope.

As for HF, they have some good deals, but they sell some junk too. It's been a while since I've bought anything from them, but when I have, I always tried to find reviews of the item. One example of a HF product people seem very happy with are "Predator" generators. They are a Honda clone. There are a lot of reviews on RV forums by 'boondockers' who put a lot of hours on them and are satisfied. It just depends.

Here's a good HF thread. It's very long, but there is a lot of good info:
