For the past 3 weeks I have been getting random no-starts. It takes about 5-10 minutes to reset and then typically it will start. This morning after several attempts, it won’t start. I thought battery, but the dealer checked the battery during the recent PCM/BCM update recall and said it was good. The battery is at 12.2 volts, but then drops to about 7 volts when it’s going through the electrical hiccups. See pictures and video attached. Any thoughts?

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

They checked battery and all checked ok. They didn’t replace battery when I asked, so did it myself with AGM Everstart from Walmart. Since changing the battery, there have been no issues. The recall notification is still showing on the app, but the dealer said it can take awhile before that clears. Is there a way to see the Software version to verify the update actually happened? After examining the vehicle I noticed a fastener and 2 clips missing from the bottom panel for oil changes. I think I will perform all future maintenance as I enjoy doing it myself and will continue to use the dealer for recall work or repairs I’m not comfortable doing myself.

I asked the Tech about versions of the software - you would need the Ford tools to see the software versions. Said there is no other way.
