I went to wash my car, then get had to get gas for the lawn mower. When I tried to restart my Bronco Sport outer banks every light came on advanced trac, no hill side assistance, car over heating, low tire pressure ,no driver assistance, no coolant , low battery, blind system fault, low fuel. I tried to take pictures of them. I was unable to turn it off , it was like it was stuck on I called road side assistance and my friend to pick it up. Finally it reset and let me start it I was able to drive it home like nothing happened . I’ve already had issues because my advanced trac has come on several times saying I have no driver assistance or hill side assistance. They could not figure out was was wrong. Said it could be an intermittent issue . It did it the beginning of April and May Both times while I was on vacation.
The end on May the wrench came on. I had to take In again. It was running fine but I wanted it checked out. The week prior to that light on Memorial Day weekend I spilled a slushy so the gear shift knob was not turning as freely. I ask them to check it out while it was there. They claim that was the problem and charged me $800 to replace it. Funny it was still running fine. They said it was shorted out. If that was so was was it still running ok and the wrench light went out . Pretty scary the gear Shift module beside the cup holder can cause the car to have issues . Now I have all these lights as well as the wrench again. I see several people have had trouble with this gear shift module as well as all these lights coming on. Many times Ford can’t determine the problem
I think there is definitely something going on with these cars. I am going to try and get it to the dealer I love this car and I am so disappointed. I am a loyal ford customer and at this point am afraid what next on this car

Something similar happened to my Big Bend, might help with troubleshooting. After the update at the dealership, mine ran fine until I sold it.

That happened to my OB! It ended up being a bad engine knocking sensor and detatched O2 sensor. it happened right after I got it detailed. I sent it into Ford and after three tries to wire it correctly (ugh they need better techs) it was running great ! Apparently it happened 3 times over the lifetime of the car and the guy before me never took it in, I think he thought it resolved itself. I originally thought they powerwashed the air intake and it got into the engine but the engine was dry when they checked. Hope it helps!

Ford reached out to me and refunded the 800 for the gear shift module. They never did figure out why all the messages alerts came up. No codes were captured. So far, fingers crossed nothing else has happened. Ford was awesome during the process and did keep following up with me and the dealership

I recently put my Badlands in park to let my wife off. When I put it in drive many dashboard warnings came on...service advance trac, 4wd off, no hillside, abs off, no pre collision, repar park aid off, pre collision off,and others I can't recall. Also my cruise control wouldn't work, auto lights wouldn't work and the drive mode wouldn't allow me to select anything. I booked an appointment to have it ckecked out ...2 weeks to get it in so I continued to drive it. Four days later (yesterday) I started it and no warnings! All is back to normal. Anyone else have had this? Does Ford have any ideas?

I've seen at least one similar issue that was tracked to a bad shift knob--a lot of systems connect to it.

That said, there are so, so many different things that might be the cause of your problem there is no way you will get meaningful help here on the forum. The only way to get it properly diagnosed is by your service dept.
