There are several people experiencing this. I was able to get it to crank after a few key cycle resets (opening doors, getting out, shutting doors, opening, trying to start, etc.) then it acted as if nothing happened. Unnerving! Brought it to dealer, and they could not figure it out. Just said it showed loss of contact in some computer module. And sent me home after two days. I called Ford. Complained that I don’t feel exactly confident in this vehicle. A few weeks before this happened, I got a warning light and dealership said I need a new shift control knob…. But it is on infinite backorder!!! Keep me posted on what you find out please.
I got my car back about a week and a half ago. They replaced the gateway conto Module. Ford was really great though my service department wasn’t a lot that. The mechanics I talked to was patient however. Fingers crosssed.
