I'm wondering whether anyone has installed a Boost Gauge and if so, where they picked up/tapped in for the boost signal. Picture would be nice!

Using the OBDLink MX+

This is their default display for the boost gage. Haven’t customized the displays yet.

Still have to figure out how to mount my old iPhone for best viewing.

And it gives a nice map result.

I presume they are calculating boost from the installed barometric pressure less the installed intake manifold pressure.

Neat feature but I am trying to find out where might be the best location to tap into for a mechanical gauge

So currently I used the PCV line so when I put in my catch can I just added a tea and put my boost gauge on that but I don't know if the PCV messes with the reading cuz it's giving me some odd readings. What I did on my last few was use a throttle body spacer which I do not believe gives any performance at all. But some of them have little ports where you can attach a boost gauge And I got pretty accurate readings on my escape with that, but they changed the bolt pattern on the newer bronco sport. So whenever I was doing mine at least there wasn't one out. There might be one now and that's what I would recommend. I also have a small post about how I did mine if you search for it but that's on a 2.0. if you have a 1.5 again, just I'd recommend trying to find a throttle body spacer with ports in it and do that. If not, you can try the PCV port

I agree with above about the Throttle Body!!

Nice! Yeah that's actually where I ordered my one for my escape. If I remember right, do they have one for the 2.0 too? I would almost think they might be the same.

Also let me know after you get installed what readings you're getting cuz I got some weird ass readings like if I floor it and leave it floored for a while it peaks at like 30 psi which is the max of my boost gauge And I know that's wrong. My escape peaked at 18. If I remember right before I messed with the spring, it used to be at least that you could tighten down the wastegate diaphragm linkage and put pressure on the spring and you could get an extra PSI or or two out of it. I haven't looked at this one to see if it's the same cuz I know they were doing some funky stuff with electronic solenoids controlling it now.

From what I understand from some of the other forums, I know the 2.0 turbo is completely different than the 1.5 and a BOV/recirc is somehow integral (?) so a BOV isn't available for the 1.5. I'm also under the impression that the TBs are different as well. However, Boomba does show a TB spacer for the 2.0

Nice. I might have to buy one for myself for Christmas. Redo my setup. See if it changes the readings now I haven't looked at the 1.5 but on my 2.0 basically you just add a spacer underneath. So when it opens the recirculation valve instead of venting just to the intake tubing it shoots at the atmosphere as well. You should see if they have something like that for yours. That's the simplest and easiest way to do it. And that's what I did on my full size bronco too. I would think there'd be something like that for the 1.5 but I could be wrong
