At King Ford in Murphy N C Nov 12
I’m gonna do it !
Yokohama Geolander GO15’s going on my BS
Going up just a tad in width to the 235 from my 225’s
Charts say I’ll get roughly a half inch more width and a bit less than a half inch more height.
Treads edge wall should line up perfectly with the rims edge:’P
These should not negatively affect handling or add any body roll by raising my center of gravity.

Why not go the full inch with 245's? Unless you have an OB which has 18" wheels.

I’ve always made sure my treads edge sits directly over the rim bead.
In my opinion this offers the best tire support on road if I need max cornering performance suddenly and also when I need max braking power AND control on road under adverse conditions.
That and presice tire pressures again IMO have saved my bacon many times.
It’s just me.
Besides a 245 is considerably heavier and even taller. I like my stock roll out,As you were, I like my stock shift points and gear ratios. Also raising my bs does nothing for me but raise the CG and in that a little is a lot.
I see no need for wider beyond the 235
If I had a low slung sporty car I’d get wider if I needed that performance level.
I’m Just wired like that.

I think the 235's are a good choice. I put 245 KO2's on my BL/BL, not because they look good, but because I've gotten stuck a couple of times in muddy pastures and I need a more aggressive tread. The larger KO2's don't drive as well on pavement as the 235 Falken AT3's I replaced. Aren't bad, I can live with them. Taller heighth noticeably reduced acceleration, very noticeable from a stop. Would probably be more pronounced on a 1.5. You should be ready for winter!

I put the geolanders 235s on my bl/bl last week and yesterday we went up George Pass here in Colorado to about half way. We had snow most of the way with depths from a trace to 10 inches and both the sport and the new tires did great. We stopped to have some lunch and to check out the trail going forward and decided that we didn't want to break trail from there and turned around

Ok they are on
$817 paid to Ford.
$242 cash value of my rewards points. Confusing but it’s double because of the $100 Yoko rebate…
So cost to me $575,, kinda,,,
I’ll get my $300 seat covers for about $65.
Did that make any sense ?
Highway tire quiet, smooth, great tracking, no wander,
Bucket and bunches more grip on wet roads.
I’ll feel better this winter. I figure that’s cheap insurance.

Ok two round trips to Asheville NC since I got my Yoko’s on. A total of about 480 miles running 33 psi cold set at 40 degree’s F.
Trip outside air temps from 28F to 61F
Tire pressure range per the dash System was 32 psi cold on one trip to 38 psi warm after a minimum of 20 miles. Most driving was higher speed sport style and curvy but nothing hard to grind my treads. With a total of 80 miles on the, ‘Super Slab’ doing 65 to 80 mph and a few speed runs to 95 MPH….
The Geolandar GO15’s out tracked and out handled the Continentals 10 fold in all the above listed conditions.
It took them about 100 miles to really quiet down to near silent.

Here is the biggie, they noticeably out coasted the all season Conti’s.
I’m good.
