I just took delivery of a 2023 Bronco Sport Badlands from a dealership in Saskatoon Saskatchewan. I won’t name the dealer but those of you familiar with Saskatoon know there are two Ford dealers. One on the north end and one on the south, this was the south dealership. They are part of an auto group that owns over 20 dealerships in western Canada.
I chose to have the front hood and fenders covered with SunTek plastic coating and then I also paid $ 600.00 to have the Zxilon paint protection applied to the entire vehicle. The finance guy did not explain anything about how either were applied so I decided to stop in at the detail shop to ask them a few questions. They explained to me the Zxilon was NOT applied to the areas where the SunTek was applied. This meant even though I was charged for material and labour to apply the Zxilon to my entire vehicle it was only applied to a little over half of the surface area. You would not expect a reputable dealership to take advantage of one of their customers in this way. I have to wonder how many other customers within this auto group have also been taken advantage of as well.
I brought this up to the saleman who verified with the detail shop that the Zxilon was not applied to the front half of my vehicle. That was 8 days ago and even though he said he would call me on Monday it is now two days later and I have not heard from him.
I told the finance guy I wanted to pay for the vehicle when I picked it up but he insisted that I pay for it a week earlier before any of this work was done. A big mistake on my part as now that they have my money it appears they have ghosted me.
