Received th following email yesterday from my dealer, ordered it on 4/8/2022:

"I am reaching out to let you know that the premium package and the full size spare are causing delays with orders. In order for Ford to get these vehicles produced, they are going to be taking those off and anything else that would be considered a commodity restraint. This will be happening automatically on May 8th."

Along with this it is giving me option to cancel order. Anyone else receive anything like this? Original order had Premium package, 360+, Falkens, Towing, Grey roof, Cargo management.

Ya that sucks. I think the no premium package wouldve been a deal breaker for me.

That's a surprise that they would force remove it from a already placed order. Unless they didn't place it when you originally thought, and then now that they are placing it they can't because they waited too long.

No, got an email from Ford when originally ordered so the order was placed.

I would be asking for immediate clarification on what exactly "taking those off" means. I've read elsewhere that Ford is selling vehicles with options missing due to supply chain issues, but that it will install the missing options via its dealership network when parts become available.

If they are simply deleting these items there should be a commensurate price reduction so you can purchase them at your own expense. If they plan to install these items at a later date they should tell you that.

EDIT: Here's an article about Ford shipping with missing options.

Very worrying. This would be a deal-breaker for me. I’m not sure what’s going to happen with my order now.

Are they going to ship out unfinished cars with missing items?

Did you have a scheduled build week yet?

As someone who just spent too much on folding headrests, I agree.

Didn't have scheduled build yet, most likely going to cancel.

Agreed. They could end up stripping it down to the point it would be a Base or BB with a 2.0L.

*No offense to those with a Base or BB*
Stripped down to Big Bend with 2.0 for lower price there are buyers for that.

If they delete Premium Package not going to be able to add later cause leather seats, dual zone AC, charging pad ect ect....

Full size spare is standard on Badlands but they say they gonna delete it? This is first I have heard of automatically deleting option from an ordered vehicle. Usually they give option to delete or keep waiting.
