Saw a post on one of the Bronco Facebook pages where a guy launched an RC truck over a sand dune. Not sure if the OP knew it was an RC car or not, judging by his reaction to the video

But it got me curious, is anyone else here into the hobby grade stuff? Attached a few pictures of some of mine. The trophy truck (a Traxxas UDR) was the truck in the video from the facebook post.

If you have pictures, let see them! Tiny trucks are fun too, and they hurt the wallet a lot less when they break!

Nice little collection. I've got that same scx24. Also as a former Mini owner, that one may be my favorite. Is that an M-07/08?

Thanks! Yes, it’s an M-08 set to the shortest wheelbase. I ran it briefly with a brushless setup and it was nearly impossible to control 😁 Body from Phat Bodies. I think Tamiya just rereleased their 1/10 Mini Cooper.

Oh, I’ve also got a CC-02 Bronco that will be my next build.
I feel guilty that my TRX-4 is a K5 Blazer instead of any of the Bronco bodies, but in my defense I bought it long before Bronco ownership was in the cards. I suppose a body change is always an option as well.

And I may have to look into one of the M chassis cars. I've never driven a FWD RC car. I have to imagine that it is pretty unique!

The M-08 is mid-motor, though I think other M variants have the motors in different places.

Don't they have a chassis that has a motor position that is configurable? I seem to remember hearing something about that not too long ago.

Nice!

A buddy of mine has several 800 size turbine helicopters. They are way out of my price range for a hobby Lol

I’m not sure if Tamiya has a chassis that has alternative motor locations. The M-08 and others let you adjust the wheelbase.

I previously built a MST TCR-M and that is fully configurable for wheelbase and motor position.

I had to go digging and I found what I was thinking of. It's the BT-01. The motor position isn't changeable, but you can opt to make it front or rear wheel drive (and maybe all wheel drive as well). In addition to an adjustable wheelbase.
