Today it started to work again...I did not do anything different, same old cable, same old phone...I'm blaming sync/android auto. It did prompted me to setup android auto on the car screen today.
I've had problems sometimes, it's usually after an update and permissions have to be reset on android auto on the phone and I don't catch it when I start up the BS.

Pain in the butt when your in a hurry.

I don't think this proves there's anything wrong with SYNC and/or Android Auto. There are MILLIONS of people using SYNC and Android Auto with no issues whatsoever.

What this proves is that dealing with intermittent problems—especially those involving communication between computer systems—is maddeningly frustrating.

My recommendation is to borrow someone else's Android phone and try it in your vehicle. If your car cannot reliably connect to more than one phone/cable combination then in my opinion you have a warranty claim.

Mine works fine till sync or android auto updates (could be months). After the update it gives me bad cable faults till some kind of cache clears, after that, it works ok till the next update.
