Hello everyone! I recently purchased a 2023 Bronco Sport Big Bend. It comes with the carpet flooring and carpet mats. No issue there. But I want to purchase the rubber floor liners. The ones they sell on the ford website are for the rubbering flooring (Part No: MP1Z7813300BA) so I look around and call the parts department at the dealer. He says I need the one for the carpet flooring (Part No: MP1Z7813300AB). Strange that on the ford website they don't offer it but he can order them for me. So I agree and he's going to order for me. However, I noticed while looking at the floor liners (images, videos) that they have these buttons that snap down on these nipples in the floor. Well, I look at my car and I see I have two nipples for my driver's side and no nipple for my passenger side. I asked the dealership if this was some manufacturing mistake but they weren't sure. Does anyone else have this where there is no nipple for the mats to snap in on the passenger side? Is it a manufacturing mistake? Can this be fixed? I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Something is amiss. You should have two on the drivers side and one on the passenger side. I have had multiple Sports and I have put these floor mats in all of them and they have all had these snaps.

Right, I have the two for the driver's side but there's nothing on the passenger side. I probably wouldn't of known about this if not for researching for the rubber floor liners. I'm hoping the dealer can fix this but it almost seemed like they wanted to wait for the kit to arrive to see if this could be installed. But my understanding is that these nipples should already be apart of the flooring anyways.

I just went and looked at my 22 Big Bend (with the carpet mats currently) and I also have the 2 snaps on the driver's side, but none on the passenger side. Cheers!

Interesting. Thank you for your response! It kind of gave me some relief. I called another dealer besides the one I bought from to get another opinion and the service guy looked at a 2023 Bronco Sport Big Bend in their lot and said it has the two for the driver and none for the passenger. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the Big Bend trim. I'm also curious if I would have ordered the liners with my car if it would have the snaps.

It's possible Ford determined the rubberized mats will not move around enough on a carpeted surface to worry about an anchor post. I know that on the Badlands' rubberized floor the anchor is necessary.

That makes sense. I was just concerned since I had the parts department order the liner for my vehicle but noticed I was missing something or so I thought.

Along the same lines, I guess Ford might have determined that the anchor wasn't needed for the passenger side carpet and carpeted floor mat since there is not post at all in the carpet. Obviously needed on the driver's side with more action going on there! Cheers!

More decontenting, my 2021 Big Bend has the post on the passenger side carpet. The way the floor liner fits, I don’t think there would be much if any movement of the liner on carpet. I’m happy with mine.

Levittown claims to have them. It's the -AA part number, not the -BA part number that is for the rubberized floor. I do not see them on the ford accessories site, but that could mean either they're out of stock or no longer manufactured.

My '23 OBX has 2 snaps on the driver's side, but none on the passenger side. I ordered the factory floor liners w/o carpet with the vehicle ($160). They is no hole in the passenger side mat.

Ford got burned (along with a few other manufacturers) by lawyers in the "runaway acceleration" scandals of a few years back. People confused their accelerator pedal for the brake pedal, then claimed the car "accelerated wildly" while they were stepping on the brake pedal as hard as they could.

Manufacturers started showing juries the data that proves engine power can never overpower the brakes. One of the smarter lawyers showed how a floor mat could slide up and over the accelerator pedal, and successfully convinced a jury THAT was the cause of runaway acceleration.

Now, I don't think you'll find a new car that doesn't come with anchor posts for OEM floor mats on the driver's side.

I have these in my Big Bend. Bought them with the Ford Points. If they come as pictured, they should fit just fine. As for the snaps to hold I can't say, mine has the two on driver and one on passenger.
