Please only reply if this has happened to you in your 2025 Bronco Sport (don’t reply if it has NOT happened):
Has any 2025 owner experienced their 2025 automatically apply the brakes or issue the audible and/or visual warning indicating an obstacle while backing up when you feel there was no reason for the vehicle to automatically apply the brakes while in reverse?
Notes:
1. In the case where there is no bike rack installed, no trailer or other obstruction blocking the rear sensors and there is nothing close by that could be hit while backing up.
2. This is the section from the owners manual which explains how a false detection could occur but none of the listed items were applicable at the time of occurrence. (shown in the 2nd page in the FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS section)

This is a blurb about the feature:
Reverse Brake Assist
Backing up in crowded areas or tight spaces can be challenging, but the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport's Reverse Brake Assist feature is here to help. This system uses sensors to detect potential obstacles behind your vehicle and can automatically apply the brakes if it determines that a collision is imminent, helping to prevent accidents and minimize damage.
