Let me introduce myself. I currently own a 2024 F-450 Platinum and a 2023 Ford Lightning Lariat EV truck and I am retired, living in Florida like millions of other older folks. I am obsessed with buying new vehicles. I am up to 69 new Car/Trucks since 1969. In addition to the 2 Fords listed above we also own 2 - 2023 Tesla Model Y Long Range cars. One for me an one for my wife.

Yesterday I helped my adult daughter purchase a fresh 2024 Outer Banks in Cactus Gray. It replaced the 2015 Lexus RX450h that was totaled. She really loves this small SUV.

Below I posted the details of the deal. I think it was an OK deal for Florida. . What do you think?

The final Out the Door price was reduced another $600 with additional dealer discount after final negotiations. Florida is notorious for exorbitant dealer fees as you can see. That’s why we only negotiate “Out the Door” price.

It only matters to you. With all the new vehicles you own as of late, I'm assuming you are a good negotiator!

You are correct.that it only matters to me. I just entered the Bronco Sport market blindly. My daughter decided on the Bronco the last minute. She needs a car ASAP so we were rushed with researching and not knowing how far dealers would go in negotiation.

Reading the Forum several members were getting $6500 off but I believe it was for a 2023 model. My recent experience is with newer Ford Super Duty truck buying. I know that market very well.

My daughter loves the Bronco Sport Outer Banks. Especially the interior.

The finance guy tried to include an ESP in the monthly payment. When I asked the outright price he quickly said $5,100. Daughter has bad credit so rate was 8,9%. She hopefully will pay it off within 6 months with insurance payout for totaled car plus some. Didn‘t buy the ESP. If she wants it she can go to Granger for it and use our NC address for it.

You did well! And as someone that owned an Outer Banks (OBX) with those options, she will love it. As a person that did a ton of research and owned 4 types of Bronco Sports, your daughter’s opinion of the OBX is my opinion too. Except for maybe some Special Editions, it is the best interior and I love its standard equipment. Also my favorite wheels/rims. Just my opinion.

One thing I will say though, unless the tires changed for 2024, is that if she is going to get off the beaten path or drive up north in our snow, she’ll want to upgrade to some good all-terrain tires.

@Tigger

Thanks for replying.

This is a Florida car so it won’t see snow or go off roading. It will be a pavement queen. So Tires shouldn’t matter.
