I just had it done on my BB, using points, and no bumper change/cover required.

They will just cut the bumper, but ask them nicely to do a good job. There have been posts on here of some less than ideal (crooked and rough) cuts from dealerships.

It was included in my deal because the original one I reserved had the factory tow package and it had some problem with it so they couldn't sell it. They got a similar one from another dealer but it didn't have the tow packaage. I believe they said it would have been $750 parts and labor.
