Just talked to my dealer and my order is unscheduled/clean, so at least there aren't any roadblocks in the way...for now. But, she did say it takes a couple of months to get scheduled, so the salesman was giving me false hope.
Yeah totally depends on their ordering blocks, mine took about a month and a half to get scheduled (and then got delayed twice after that).

I've not heard of ordering blocks. I know they have 2 BS retail orders other than mine. The line for builds seems to run through a maze with multiple entry and exit points. I'm in line, but I could get shunted into the outer darkness or someone could just swoop right in front of me at any time, or so it appears. I guess I don't understand how they are pumping out dealer stock orders while retail orders that are supposed to be of higher priority take multiple months to even get scheduled. Maybe the the stock orders are taking even more months, but the opacity of the process really lends itself to assuming the worst.

So part of it is priority based on dealership - stuff like how many they are allocated and all of that (so a larger dealer might be able to submit 10 custom orders, a smaller dealer only 2 or 3). There's a priority code on them as well, so that affects when they go in. That will affect the priority for scheduling.

Along with that, certain features might change the schedule - it might be the 2.0L engine, or the 360+, or the tow hitch, or whatever, but depending on the line those things will get shifted around either due to parts constraints or order numbers or whatever. This part is the most opaque, I think, because it seems everyone has a different rumor about what is keeping their BS from being built (for a long time it was the moonroof and then it was the tow hitch or whatever).

And, of course, there's the actual scheduling blocks from Ford - there was a period at the end of last year/beginning of this year where they weren't even scheduling BS's because they were pushing the Mavericks through. At least here we have charts like the one you posted to see visibility on whether or not the platform is even being built and a rough estimate of the weeks they're scheduling for.

Doesn't COVP and incremental allocation alleviate some of the dealership prioritization? I guess that's part of the process that remains unclear to me. My understanding is that if a dealership has a zero allocation that a verified retail order gives the dealership an incremental allocation moving them to 1. My dealership has 6 ordered Sports right now (according to the Ford website), so I know they aren't a zero allocation dealership.

I suppose it's probably something as simple as a lot of orders that couldn't be scheduled before that can be scheduled now get all the slots on the line. Hooray for those people. I guess.

Yeah honestly NO idea on this part. I also have read places that it's changed over the past 2 years in terms of how it's allocated and priority, but it's all kind of vague. I purposely chose a much larger dealership in my area just because I figured I'd rather be safe than sorry on that front.

The big dealership in my area can never have my business because I once had a salesman say "you're not even a customer" and walk away.

I recall that either Ford newsletter or a thread said - only taking customer orders to build. See if you can find that info from February or either early March. Due to supply shortage. Let me know if I am correct.

Ford Video Guy said a couple of weeks ago that BS sales are 23% customer orders. The factory is pumping out dealer stock.

I ordered a 22 bronco sport badlands with just about all available options on January 25. I was required to make a $2000 deposit. I have not heard a thing since the order confirmation. Has anyone heard anything about production dates?
Wow I was only asked for $100 refundable deposit. I ordered BS Outer Banks loaded on 2/17/22. Just received my build date yesterday for 5/23/22.
