Dang. I had the recall done 3 days ago right before a road trip and today for the first time since purchased (I’m at just under 14k miles) I had gnarly transmission shuddering going on. I told myself it’s normal so I didn’t panic the whole drive home but we were cruising at an awkward 10 mph through a Main Street area and without fail, anytime I hit 10 mph it felt exactly like right before a breakdown. Shaking felt in the cab etc. but as soon as we got above 10 mph it went away so maybe everything’s fine haha

Your report is exactly why I asked (in another thread on here) if I should wait until after my vacation to get the recall done - because I don't need any trouble on the drive to the beach or while I"m there. I'm thinking your post is a good reason to wait until I get back.

Yeah I would definitely recommend waiting for after. Idk if it was because of the recall. I’m going to assume it wasn’t but i truly don’t know. but having never had a noticeable enough issue to bring it in til the recall, I’d be weary. here is the work order after bringing it in the day after my road trip.

Did you ever have any maintenance work done on your transmission, such as fluid changes every 30-40k miles? Lots of posts about transmissions failing around 100k.

I was just told my 2021 needs new transmission, 100K miles.

No, I’ve just had regular maintenance done at the dealership.

My transmission died at 73000 $6500 at local transmission shop. Service advisor texted me and said these transmissions are horrible. I wish I had not traded in my 07 xlt Ranger when I bought my Bronco Sport.
