I clean the fronts every day. You can see the brake pad fragments embedded in the clear coat. I presume fragments up to 200 degrees Celsius, or 392 degrees Fahrenheit melt the clear coat.
I believe I may have misspoke. My understanding now, is that the rear brake pads were replaced. My concern is with the front brake pads. The rear brake pads generate very little, if any, brake dust. Based on my service history from the Ford app, I cannot confirm which brake pads were replaced...
This issue is out of control. Had mine replaced due to the ārecallā and months later the build up looks as though the wheels werenāt washed in a year. Similar to rail dust, I have small specs embedded in the clear coat finish of the wheel. Never had this issue with the wheels prior to the...
I had to go to a different dealership. The first Ford dealership had no idea what to do. Typical BS, parts manager is busy, not sure which part it is, weāll call you, etc.
Another thought. What is the purpose of the Front Plate? Why design a cutout to accommodate a composite plate? With the exception of creating more part numbers, the functionality appears unnecessarily cosmetic.
2021 BS
Iām starting to feel that the BS does not refer to Bronco Sport.
From the first day of purchase (08/21), the Front Plate Weatherstrip was defective.
Now, it detached from the Front Plate and must be replaced. Seems to be a bit of confusion with Ford as to M1PZ-7851916AC and...
This is interesting. Apple (MagSafe), Samsung, Google, etc., are Qi wireless charging certified. Does Fordās solution meet Qi certification? What wattage, i.e., 5, 10, or 15 does the Sport base transmit? According to Qi, the charge distance is limited to 4 centimeters. My iPhone 13 Max vibrates...
I was cleaning/waxing the roof of the Sport and started to clean around the sunroof, shield, weatherstripping, etc., and noticed the front sunroof weatherstrip looked worn and misshapen. This is especially prevalent with the sunroof open. When closed, although less noticeable, still appears to...
I thought I was the only one experiencing this! Like the rear tailgate bottle opener, the design of the wireless charging pad was poorly engineered. I stopped using this maddening feature due to the constant 'misalignment' interruptions, on the display. This became a huge distraction while...
Based on your experiences, I have been doing a bit more inspection/reflection on my customer experience. I took my vehicle to a Ford dealership in New Jersey and had a body shop manager inspect the ādimplesā on my door window ledges. He agreed that it is not an inherent characteristic of the...
I think itās cheap and youāre absolutely correct in the amount of crap that accumulates. The paper thin liner and gaps is ridiculous. Iāve never taken this off the road and I canāt imagine if I took this off road and had to clean out the mud, etcā¦
Quick question, although I sound naĆÆve, I was surprised to see that the wheel wells on this Ford bronco sport consists of a liner of felt. In other words, I can see gaps in the wheel well that peer right into the engine cavity. Is this of any benefit or is this strictly cost reduction?
I tried to take more pictures of the ripples. Sun and reflection make it difficult. If you zoom in, you can see the indents.
Replaced the front left splash guard. These front splash guards screws keep loosening. Also, the rear tailgate wire harness cover keeps popping out. On a different note, I...
Yes, its on both sides. I will take additional photos. If you zoom in, you can see the divots. Also, I am pretty sure we were using the opener correctly.
First-time poster here. Thought I would combine my observations/issues with the Bronco Sport after 10-months of ownership. Overall, I enjoy the vehicle but there are quality issues that cause one to scratch his/her head. Input is welcome!
