China EV's won't get sold here. They're about to ban China drones and they are no where near the threat to American jobs and corporations that EV's are. Allowing China EV's here would decimate the American auto industry and open us up to massive data collection by the Chinese government. So...
To each, there own. If I wanted exceptional fuel economy I would have bought a Prius. I'll pay a few extra dollars to run the going MPH for a given stretch of road. I don't want to be the fastest guy or the slowest guy on the road and I definitely don't want to be the one gumming up the works...
I checked my speed with the new tires against the speedometer using a GPS speedometer app on my phone. It was right on the money. Both speedometers matched each other.
I have a '22 Big Bend and I drive an average of around 31 miles per day. Two thirds of my daily mileage is highway. I run 93 octane fuel. I am not a drive it easy or an every light is a drag race driver. I like to get to speed quickly and settle in. I have 235/60R18 Continental tires. I don't do...
I think these are actually the Big Bend optional 18's. The Outer Banks wheels are different. They are flatter looking. These have a better shape to them. IMO
I just reset the TPMS sensors during my lunch break. Took a couple tries to get into learn mode, but was easy as pie after that.
Wonder if I will have to do it again when the winter wheels go back on?
I kept my 17's for winter use. I like having a summer set and a winter set of wheels and tires.
The tires are Continental Contitour 54. I couldn't remember the name before. ? They are a ton quieter than the old AT tires.
The TPMS system seemed fine this morning till I got close to work when...
My first "mod". Since I didn't buy new like I was going to I wasn't able to get factory 18's. So I bought a set off eBay that arrived and looked like never saw use.
Then I bought some Continental Tour something or other long life tires. 235/60R18
What are the rubber protectors called that go on the back of the seats that protect them when folded down? I think my truck was supposed to have them but the got lost along the way and I would like to replace them (or add them). I don't know what to look for.
What does the hood insulator do and why would I care about it? Engine covers serve no purpose except for mildly muting engine noises. An engine is a mechanical thing. Mechanical things makes noises.
If all the hood insulation does is cut noise, I won't give it a second thought. But if it stops...
I don't think the Bronco Sport needs much of a refresh yet. It still looks "fresh" to me. Sync 4 would be nice. Some different colors. Different wheels.
Let's go back 10 more years. 1984. My '84 20th Anniversary Mustang GT convertible with it's 5.0 4 barrel T5 makes 175 hp and 240 lb-ft. My recent Bronco Sport purchase would run rings around it with just 1.5L, gets substantially better fuel economy and the crazy part, handles better.
With only 16K miles on them I'd inspect the remaining three tires set the two best aside for the rear and put two new tires on the front. Millions of cars on the road in this exact situation. Replacing all four is a "recommendation" not a requirement.
Any resolution for this ever come to light? Bought a used '22 Big Bend and absolutely F'n hate auto lock. The press lock three times start press lock three times turn it off thing didn't work. Stupid feature.
At least Ford has always got it right with the exit handle always letting you out if...
