I just had two chips/cracks repaired. The first one was a non-Bronco Sport about a month ago. The results were AMAZING! You almost can't see where it was chipped/cracked. It just looks like a very small bug splatter. The initial chip had two small cracks starting to spread from the center...
I don't think (at least on the Badlands model) that you have to screw in the pistons. I believe that is for systems where the parking brake is integral to the caliper. These systems (at least mine on the BL) have the add-on electric parking brake motor so I'm pretty certain it's just 1) put it...
Agree. I have one of those "special" tools that I bought specifically for a car I no longer own to spin the pistons back in but I didn't find it necessary to use one of those with the Bronco Sport rear brake design. The service mode and c-clamp worked just fine for me.
I replaced rear pads with Power Stop Z16 for $33. Maybe I'm a hack, but my Dad was a mechanic and I was taught to use a C-clamp and a block of wood to push the piston(s) back. Thanks to the users here who posted the parking brake service mode procedure. It worked great!
Sorry for the long delay here. Was out of town. I think the following explains why some users are being told the purge valve is not a covered component under the federal emissions warranty. I do not think this is technically correct, and I believe this will explain it......
There are two...
Glamdring70..... completely agree. I saw the info too that said they combined the valve with the hoses to avoid the warranty requirement. I'm obviously not even sure that is true. If it is, I will bet the EPA would not allow that (if they were made aware of it).
Hi Dude,
I did some more digging and I'm confident the purge valve is required to be covered under the federal emission warranty. I was focusing on what the regulations require, not what Ford is actually doing, and i was interpreting the comments to mean Ford is claiming the purge valve is not...
The dealers are screwing people over (intentionally or out of ignorance, I won't pretend to know which one), but the valve is diagnosed by the OBD system, and the part is required to be covered. It's a required component to meet both CARB and EPA evaporative emission standards. You may have to...
RSH is correct! Directly from the 2022 Ford warranty guide:
From page 22 (list of parts that are covered):
For those who may not be aware, the purge valve's function is connect the intake manifold to the fuel tank and evaporative canister to "purge" the fuel vapors that have been stored...
I watched their install video on YouTube. They look nice....I'm not super crazy about their logo on the back of the flaps. I might try the WeatherTechs. I'll share my experience when I get around to it. Feel free to share your thoughts on RoxBlokz after you install them.
Thanks!
Once again, sorry for replying to an old thread. Thanks to everyone on this forum, even "old" information is helpful to those of us who are just joining the BS community.
In an effort to try to pay it forward, here is some potentially helpful info on two hitch options:

Thanks, Laurence. Just FYI, I had to look because I wasn't sure. It appears the WeatherTechs are no drill and the reviews seem pretty good.

I can't seem to find a custom fit Husky...
I'm looking into this too. Any reason why you said "no WeatherTech?" I think I read somewhere in these forums that someone installed them and liked them. Of course, I can't remember where.
It seems the tire is also available at Discount Tire (who recently bought Tire Rack). It's the same part number from Walmart that is provided in Dude's post above. The link to Discount Tire is below. That site claims the height is 29.06". Full specs are there...
Just FYI for those considering this, I think you will need the factory (or Draw Tite version) trailer hitch for these to bolt to. Without it, there is a bumper beam that extends outward beyond the inner edges of those 4-bolt flanges that hold the hitch/bumper beam/tow hooks in place. If you...
Wow, Dude. That's quite a compliment. Thank you very much! I don't officially write for a living, but written communications are definitely a big portion of my job.
That was my first post, as I just bought a 21 BS BL and just joined the forum. Looking forward to sharing info here, hoping I...
Sorry this is a bit late, but I think I have the answer. I just finished installing a Rockford Fosgate Punch 300-10 in my BS BL with the B&O system. I really wanted to use a full range signal because I didn't want the factory DSP/amp to remove any content, especially low frequency content. In...
