I always tell them up front that if there are any dealer logos on my car at delivery I will not finish the sale. Twice I've waited while they removed it.
Someone needs to start a list of these Ford dealerships that are marking up these cars when they're in short supply, so the we all know who to avoid when things turn a little more competitive.
You won't regret that purchase. The crosstrek is a solid car. You'll probably get every penny you paid for out of it When you sell it to get the Broncos sport in 2 years when they're more available.. Very sure footed vehicles.. Just kind of boring.
Mind serves me well for 5 years.
I ordered my cactus Gray outer banks on June 4th. It's scheduled for production August 9th, And today my dealer called me with a VIN. Haven't really been looking at the trackers or anything, But it does look like there's some progress going on.
I went available, But I don't have either one, yet . . .
I'm driving my summer car, a fiat 500, (a hot dog in the meat comparison) it's fine until the snow flies here in northern michigan.
I've always sworn not to buy a first model year car, especially from Ford. In 2000 we bought my wife a 1st model year Focus, and it was nothing but trouble. It ate bearings like fuel, and after three year Ford refused to continue covering them.
Add to that the many reports of strange issues...
You should talk to your dealer. I wonder if they even submitted your order.. When I submitted my order at my dealer, within 24 hours I had a response from Ford. Others have indicated the same thing. It wasn't a production date just a confirmation of the order.
What data do you have to support your claim? Both you and the OP have ordered cars with moonroofs. It has been known for a long time that the moonroof is a problem from suppliers. So much so, that Ford stopped taking orders that included moonroofs. I think it's a mistake to think you're being...
For openers, it's another part that can just fail. They don't much anymore but sunroofs have been known to leak. As you can see from this thread it's still glass and it can break. I had a car with a sunroof once. Never again.
Is it possible to install a basket directly on the rails without adding the crossbars? It seems like a waste to put on crossbars just to cover them with a basket, and it will mount higher up. I'd like to install a basket on the rails to keep it as low as possible.
Thanks,
Tom
