  1. We love our BS.... but name one thing you dislike about it

...internet No rubber on the inside fenders along sharp metal edges in the engine bay which lead to me slicing my hand when installing the gas struts. My 2011 WRX had it. No gas struts on the hood Missing directions on drivers dash when using Google Maps (as expected, but still) Total lack of...
  2. We love our BS.... but name one thing you dislike about it

I've had my OB for 6 months now, There were two things right out of the gate I changed. I installed gas struts for the hood. The prop screamed 70s and seemed too retro as well as being more like a base model option, The OB should have had them as a standard option. The second thing was the...
  3. What did you do TO your Bronco Sport today?

I just installed the Sukemichi struts. You can read about it in my post here. I don't believe you will get the hood to close on freefall with any of the currently available gas struts.
  4. Bronco Sport Badlands In Her Natural Element

I got the hood struts on as well, did very little for the flexing.
  5. Bronco Sport Badlands In Her Natural Element

Not 100% sure yet, but some evidence that hood struts will reduce/eliminate the hood shake. Basically puts some tension on the hood with the gas struts.
  6. One year, 13k mile review

Great write up as always. I agree the limiting factor with the car isn’t the AWD system because that’s great, it’s the clearance. If it had just a bit more it’d almost be unstoppable.
  7. One year, 13k mile review

A year in and 25000 miles so far. Enjoyed every bit of it.
  8. One year, 13k mile review

Thanks for this review. I am excited for my May delivery! I also got some furry friends that will be enjoying the BS with me. I wanted to ask about the effect on MPG with just the lock n load platform attached. I live in an apartment right and won't have much space to store it, so it will...
  9. One year, 13k mile review

Can't wait to get mine riding higher up then the escape titanium it's great small SUV with intelligent four-wheel drive but getting the Ford bronco will be even nicer when not be able to just lock it into 4x4 and not have to worry about stepping on the gas a little harder to keep my four-wheel...
  10. One year, 13k mile review

14 months in ditto above observation ,not a single issue . Great suv .
  11. One year, 13k mile review

I realized recently that we got our BS a year ago now! I figured it was time for a bit of a review. In short, we've had absolutely zero issues, and we still love it. It's our only car, so it needs to be able to do a fairly large mix of different things, and it fills that role better than...
  12. 2021 OB Black Beauty

Well after reading posts on accessories and adding bling for the last 2 months I figured it was time to post my BS OB project. To start with I decided to keep the original wheels and tires. Ford did a good job on wheels and IMO the wheels are perfect for the Shadow Black scheme. Black really...
  13. Hood Scoop / Decal Question

It's mainly just convenience - but for me at least, I had a car with gas springs to hold the hood up once and I can't go back. Not that I spend a ton of time under the hood, but still, held open, no prop rod to think about or avoid. This kit, the Redline springs, do hold the hood up higher...
  14. Badlands production date delayed again

Thanks! Perfect choices for all your new stuff. Spot on in my book!!! Glad you FINALLY got your BS :)
  15. Badlands production date delayed again

...with the reverse lights. Also changed the OEM lugnuts with one piece aftermarket ones and a set of McGard locking lugnuts, added hood gas struts, and an Auto Start/Stop over ride device. Still have to get around to getting it back to the dealer for installation of the Bushwaker fender flares...
  16. BL finally arrived

Yup that thing is a bit of a tank off-road and a lot of fun! I wish we had kept it but such is life. I like that the BS is rubberized inside and with our mtb stuff going in and out it will get muddy like the FJ did and we have a dog as well so another point for the BS as well. Looking forward to...
  17. BL finally arrived

Lights and tires. Other than that stock. We bought it fully loaded with locking diff, etc. That is one thing about the FJ is that it is a beast stock. And did not need a snorkel. We are lucky that with Vegas being no humidity, on snow, no salt and little rain and keeping Bessie in the garage...
  18. FSR rooftop tent installed

It has gas struts so setup is literally seconds. It's 102 lbs so a little lighter than other tents
  19. Ford Hood Scoop and Rear Spoiler installed

Redline Tuning. Please see my post "Hood Shocks Installed" for details and a link to them.
  20. Ford Hood Scoop and Rear Spoiler installed

Hi, where did you get the gas struts to hold open the hood? I only have the stick...
