  1. Exhaust Noise?

I have caught my Badlands making this noise twice in the past week. I did hear it make this noise several months ago but ignored it because it went away and didn’t appear to be an issue. Basically, I stopped looking for it Most of the time it sounds completely normal but will make this noise...
  2. Already in the shop

Are most issues occurring with the 1.5 models?
  3. Hot hot hot touchscreen!

Could this have something to do with production issues? Maybe some units have been manufactured with different components due to shortages?
  4. Hot hot hot touchscreen!

The touch screen in my Badlands never feels hot. It feels about the same as my iPhone or iPad. It was the same with my Fusion and Escape.
  5. Plastic inside the bronco sport badlands

I’m not really concerned. It’s no better or worse than the plastics in the Fords I owned before (2016 Fusion and 2019 Escape). Absolutely nothing was damaged or broken in either of those vehicles after three years use.
  6. Locking Issue That Is Torturing Me & My Dealers Service Department

My dealership was annoyed about Ford getting involved after reaching out to me on this forum. In fact, the dealership was rude to Ford’s employee. All I can say is that the dealership’s initial attitude changed considerably after Ford talked to them. Things moved more quickly and positively...
  7. Bronco Sport ranks 3rd in JD Power Initial Quality Study

I agree. Pretty much all new cars feel solid and appear problem free. It typically takes time for any issues to appear or for you to notice them.
  8. 87 vs 91 Octane?

The 2019 Escape was the last model year of the previous generation. Different platform, transmission, etc. it did use the same 2.0 engine.
  9. 87 vs 91 Octane?

Probably. Driving habits and weather didn’t change much, if at all. The Badlands does get better mileage than my 19 Escape 2.0 AWD did. I believe the Escape’s gas tank was 0.3 gallons smaller (15.7 vs 16). I average about 375 miles per tank with the Badlands compared to about 330 with the Escape.
  10. 87 vs 91 Octane?

I always use ethanol-free 91 for the Badlands. I did the same with my 19 Escape 2.0. 93 is difficult to find around here. I did try using 87 but saw a significant drop in fuel economy.
  11. Stained plastic.

Same here. My 2019 Escape was taken through numerous car washes over the course of three years and the black plastic was fine. No change at all.
  12. So many problems - Need to find help

ā€œIt’s normal.ā€ ā€œThey all do it.ā€ ā€œWe couldn’t duplicate the problem (customer is probably insane).ā€ Must be part of their training.
  13. Fuel Door doesn't close/fit properly?

Can you provide a picture? The fuel door fits perfectly on my 22 Badlands. One of the positives about my BS is that the factory did a good job lining up all the panels.
  14. AC on-off gremlins

That’s how my Badlands behaves. It’s also how my 16 Fusion and 19 Escape behaved. When you select low it’s going to give you the lowest possible temperature it can, which will likely engage the AC if it’s warmer. That’s how I like it. You’ll just have to select a temp you like and/or turn off...
  15. Warning: Doors auto lock with key fob inside

I know I have got out of the car to check something with the engine running and the fob inside and nothing has happened. I’m quite sure it was the same with my Escape and Fusion. I certainly never experienced a situation where I was locked out and had to use the keypad. Maybe there is another...
  16. Warning: Doors auto lock with key fob inside

Yes, I have left the fob in the car with the engine running and the doors did not lock.
  17. Warning: Doors auto lock with key fob inside

My 2016 Fusion and 2019 Escape would not lock with the keys inside, ever. Unless, of course, intentionally doing so with the keypad. My 2022 BS Badlands behaves the same way. Itā€˜s actually one of the great things about Ford (they keypad).
  18. Rumor mill - dealerships refusing to purchase low mile Big Bend, OBX models.

You could literally have 20 engines out of 2,000,000 have some kind of catastrophic problem and the 16-year olds and fanboys of any other brand, which is guaranteed to also have issues, commenting on the internet will say they are all trash They will read one poorly written article with a...
  19. Dents - Somebody Please Chime In

I’ve never had to touch the outside of the tailgate to close it. It always has enough momentum to close itself after pulling it down using the handles inside. Sometimes it will slow down but then closes itself with enough force.
  20. Dents - Somebody Please Chime In

I haven’t noticed any difference compared to my 2019 Escape and 2016 Fusion.
