Got the notice in today's mail, so I scheduled the recall fix via phoning an actual human being at Sanderson for first thing Friday morning. Close enough to 5K miles, so I scheduled an oil/filter change as well. I would normally get the service done at Sun Devil Auto, but I decided to give the...
The BS is unibody, so no “frame” in the classic sense. It’s all structural, so damage to the body is also frame damage, technically speaking, particularly where corners and door frames are involved. So the old saw about frame damage as a reason to total a car is a non-starter. Even if a ladder...
Clams steamed in sake, mirin, garlic, and butter. No pics, they got eaten too fast!
$20 for 5 pounds at Costco, fresh from Washington state. Helluva deal. Also a challenge when you’re only feeding two people.
Auto headlights or auto high beams? Two separate functions.
Auto headlights work perfectly, but the auto high beams are too sensitive to distant street lights or porch lights. I think they should be more focused on the road ahead without looking up or the sides.
True, but actually a pretty fair price when you factor in the cost of the installation. That could be $750-$1000 of the total depending on the upholstery shop's regular rate. I'd hate to get a quote for a local shop to do it from scratch.
I'd love to get cooling added, but I don't know if that...
This is what I got direct from Katzkin back in January:
“Standard Pricing ( Financing Available) - Includes Installation
Two row factory match single color interior - $1,895 before tax (includes installation and a 3 year warranty)

They are switched, so ignition needs to be on for anything connected to operate.
They do have a blue backlight when powered off when you open a door on the same timer as the interior cabin lights. When the ignition is on the switch nameplate lights amber when the switch is placed in the On...
I noticed mine weren’t fully pushed in one morning, figured it was an oversight during assembly. Sounds like I need to inspect it more frequently and be ready to make an appointment with the dealer. :/
Just went in October, a couple other members went in September and November. Watch the weather closely, where they take you can vary widely when storms hit.
Have a great time, take lots of pics and post your experience!
Would've offered mine, but I threw it in the recycling bin when we got home from Moab. Shoulda just left it at the basecamp for all the value it held for me.
I keep needing to schedule a trip on Schnebly. Couple it with a mid-week mini vacation in Sedona. Couple of Italian restaurants there I’ve been meaning to try.
Just got an email from JCR detailing a fire that broke out in their plant. Luckily, everyone is safe and they’re almost back up to speed.
I’ll copy/paste the entire email with photos if anyone is interested, or I can forward it to you if you DM your email to me.
Most people don’t read a manual anyway regardless of form as evidenced by some of the questions on various car forums.
As has been noted, the manual is available online in both HTML and PDF formats. Easier to search and just print one or two pages as needed, if needed.
