  1. Considering a Grown Up Bronco

Honestly, if they had a decent full size on the lot when we bought our HL, it wouldn't have been a consideration. Only one they had was a relatively low equipped Big Bend and it just didn't cut it. The BS is a fun little commuter vehicle that can do some trails and well. The full size is a...
  2. First Look at Desert Sand Color on 2024 Bronco Sport

Looks like Gobi on the Jeeps. It doesn't photo well but in person it really worked.
  3. Anyone else missing the panel under the dash above the passenger side fuse box where the floor air ducts are.

If anything, I'd be happy to crib your P/N list. Would save me a ton of time! :P
  4. Anyone else missing the panel under the dash above the passenger side fuse box where the floor air ducts are.

I read through it as well to compile the list you wrote above. Wish I'd found it sooner! LOL! I'm missing all of the same minus the tow hook (factory tow package) on a 2023 Heritage Limited I took delivery of almost exactly a month ago. Considering I paid MSRP for this, I'm pretty irritated...
  5. ...

you may want to reach out to Cascadia and see if they’re planning on a BS panel. They’re the OGs of those in the overlanding space. Hood panels are more expensive than comparable rigid or even flexible panels though…https://www.cascadia4x4.com/collections/vss-system-hood-mounted-solar?page=2
  6. ...

Kinda wondering if anyone's put together a list of all the stuff Ford left off that should be there otherwise. Thinking the hood insulation mat, the engine cover (and studs...)
  7. Bronco Sport Winch?

Bush Winches are pretty cool devices but their biggest hang up is they can only be used for self recovery, where a typical vehicle winch can pull both you and the other guy that got stuck out. A decent come along is good insurance, cheaper, and won’t rust away ruining your gas mileage, front...
  8. Toyota 2024 Land Cruiser and the new Santa Fe

NGL, depending on tow capacity Toyota may sell me another truck in a year or so. Right now I’m torn between the upcoming Tacoma Trailhunter and the Gladiator Mojave. The new LC makes a very compelling case.
  9. Wide vs Narrow Tires — a Scientific Comparison

Interesting data and this is definitely making its way around the forum world. Couple points that weren't necessarily raised by the video creator: --Flex on static items is a narrow data set --Real world trail ability test is missing. --Real world street test is missing --Changing the load...
  10. Catback system and axle back...

Far as I know Ford doesn't offer an SVO/SVT version of the either the 1.5L or 2.0L Ecoboost but there are certainly different outputs depending on final application. EG: The 3cyl is the most impressive, ranging from 150-200HP. The 2.0 remapped for the Maverick over BS gets more torque at lower...
  11. Catback system and axle back...

Heard that... but an intake/exhaust is a clearly visible modification that really doesn't do much of anything. If you're willing to go through a slight hassle for better performance, it's doable... and economical. EG: I had an under warranty, dealer maintained W204 MB C3004M. That motor was...
  12. Catback system and axle back...

I'd look at ECU remapping before I'd even consider exhaust or intake mods on a modern forced induction economy-minded motor. Good money after bad IMO. Maybe Cobb Tuning has something for the 1.5L?
  13. 2024 Bronco Sport Free Wheeling Special Edition Revealed + New Black Appearance Package

Maybe I'm just jaded but Ford wants to sell a lot more 3cyls than 4cyls to keep with fleet MPG. Though I agree that it could be fun if it was an add-on package to any trim, they can drive sales to the 3cyl by keeping it restricted to only those.
  14. 2024 Bronco Sport Free Wheeling Special Edition Revealed + New Black Appearance Package

It plain looks weird in certain colors, okay in others, but the wheels are fugly. Some classic styled Mags would have set it apart but the bean counters wouldn't have approved another wheel option. Sometimes retro/throwbacks work, sometimes they don't.
  15. Show me your mod'ed Heritages.

Generally speaking I'm not a fan of pinstripes but I think Ford got it right on the Heritages in both sizes. What I can't understand is why they didn't put it on the both Heritage trims in the BS when they did on the full size. I may have to seek out a graphics company.
  16. Show me your mod'ed Heritages.

Far be it from any of us to buy a vehicle and actually use it the way we see fit. And any unibody FWD based SUV/CUV isn't exactly going to bring the big buck at Mecum or Barrett Jackson by the time we're done with it. We average 25K annually and had it running through muck yesterday. Just...
  17. Show me your mod'ed Heritages.

What have you done exterior? Mechanical? Interior? Full builds, small tweaks, stuff from the Pep Boys catalog, whatever you've done post it. Bonus points if you're Yellowstone.
  18. Bronco Sport Heritage with 1.5" lift & BFG KO2 tires

Looks good. What lift are you running and how noisy are those KO2s on the road at highway speeds?
  19. Best Cooler for Multi Day Camping...

Agree, that's a pretty slick setup. I could see using something like that in place of a 12v fridge because it is sort of portable. Though-- Figuring a case of beer adds about 20lbs, 2 gal of water another 15lbs and then food, it gets un-portable pretty fast. I also wonder how long the battery...
