Wow! That's pretty extreme. As for the $500 per axle at the dealership, I think you could have made the argument that something is mechanically wrong to cause that type of wear in that few miles. I know brake pads are wear item but under the circumstances you may have been able to get it done...
Yes, waaaaay too easy to push. Of all the vehicle I've owned, I never accidentally triggered the panic alarm. I've had my BS/BL for 2.5 months and I have probably triggered it 6 times.

I had the GoodYear Fortitude HT from the factory on on a previously owned truck. They were not good tires. I replaced them with Pirelli Scorpion AT Plus, (not to be confused with the Pirelli Scorpion ATR). I would not buy or recommend the GY Wrangler Fortitude HT.
