I have been planning to do a dry run “tire change” on my new OBX and this post will get me to make it happen. I want to flip the spare for the increased storage space as well. I made each of my boys remove and reinstall a tire when learning to drive so I should practice what I preached.
I’m going to take as much care as possible of my 23 OBX but I’m kind of looking forward to getting the first inevitable dent so I can stop looking for it. 10 years from now there will be lots of dents and scratches in the car.
In my opinion iPhone CarPlay is much better than SYC 3 and if you are the only one linking to the car a wireless dongle is a wonderful addition so you don’t have to plug your phone in each time you get in the car.
I don’t mind the way they look, and I will take every little MPG advantage they may give, but they seem to be begging to be ripped up/off if I ever pull up over a high curb or wheel stop.
This is Moonshine. He loves the new Bronco. This is his ears back, “I’m not gettin’ out till I get a ride.” face after he has snuck into the car and back to his dog seat when I went to get something out of the glove compartment.”
Thanks for the great info on the Granger option! My dealer snuck a 3rd party plan by me during the signing marathon that I then had to cancel later after I sat down with the paperwork and realized what had happened. Would have just been at the ford website buying at full price if not for the forum.
Jeez, I had a much better customer service rep. They insisted on a picture of the non-fit, but once I sent it I got a return label and they are trying to find a bar that will work for my needs. (no luck yet?) I was just after some all metal bars that I can toss on to to strap some lumber on now...
I love the forum for threads like this. Potential problems I can address for pocket change and would have never noticed until the problem occurred to me. So glad people post their lessons hard learned!
I ordered some OMAC bars for my 23 OBX. The OMAC site said they worked on the vehicle but the 2 identical bars that arrived would not allow the clamps to be set close enough together to fit on the BS rails. SO close on the front but not even in the ballpark at the rear. Waiting to hear back from...
I was bummed when I discovered this on my 2023. A thoughtful thing I was looking forward to that eliminated a little nuisance. (I’ve been wondering if I could talk a blue interiors or 2022 who didn’t care into a swap)
Installed the flat glossy Aeroskin Smoke today on my OBX. I am hoping to stop a paint chip or two on the leading edge while on the highway. Was not so worried about bugs? ( I can clean them off). I like the gloss finish on my OBX but suspect it will not age wonderfully. I did not know it was...
I would wrap things in towels if I do this. If and when I need many of the things I would put back there a towel to kneel on or wipe my hands on is often needed too!
