Wow, thank you again! That actually makes sense and helps me to feel a little better about the situation. Sounds like it could be quickest route after all. I have emailed my salesman to see what he can find out so we'll see what he says.
So...it's going to take another 6 days to take it to Missouri? And then put it on another train from Missouri to Portland, OR? And deliver to Seattle by truck by July 7-13? They must realize that there's probably a more direct, faster route from Arizona to Oregon than through Missouri, right...
My BS is somewhere between Nogales AZ and Portland, OR for eventual delivery to the Seattle area. I can't get the Ford Chat link to work since they changed things up--I've tried both at home and at work, thinking it could be a browser or computer issue. And of course neither the Ford tracker or...
Ah, that's great prawn....very happy for you! I know it took forever to get it to you from Portland but looks like you're actually about a week and a half ahead of the estimated delivery date. That bodes well for the rest of us. We're going to miss you around here. Good luck at the...
Congrats, she's a beauty! My Oxford White OB is currently on the train to Portland. Maybe it will meet up with prawn's (which has been sitting there for awhile!) and they'll finish the final leg up I-5 together!
Yeah, it does unfortunately sound that way. I'm hoping you get good news this week...from someone!
My dealership has done a good job...so far. But I've only dealt with the salesman. We'll see how I feel after navigating this final stretch of financing and taking delivery!
Well, that would explain the perceived speedy timeline between Nogales and Portland. But it doesn't explain why Ford Chat wouldn't/couldn't give me a railcar number--perhaps just another part of the conspiracy to keep this whole process a mystery lol!
I sure hope you're right and I get that...
Thank you once again, thekingprawn! Does it really move that fast? I find it hard to believe that it would travel from Nogales AZ to Portland OR in less than 48 hours!
Any word on yours? I was hopeful that one of those trucks spied heading north on I-5 yesterday was heading to your dealership.
Update! I reached out to my salesman yesterday, asking if he had access to the VVR or had any updated tracking info for me. He sent me what he thought was a railcar number. I was skeptical because it started with UP and I hadn't seen that here before. I called Union Pacific and it worked...
Does any one know if the BS OB (no tow package) comes with a compact or full-size spare tire? I want to order the cargo area liner before the promo ends but my vehicle won't arrive by then. Apparently the liners are different sizes?
Also, how do the hood deflectors attach? Would I need to...
Thank you, prawn...I appreciate your perspective and experience with this process! Next time I chat with Ford, I will ask them to clarify if it is waiting for transfer to UP and the reason for the delay.
Has yours arrived yet?
Looks like we have basically the same timeline. I received the shipped email for my BS OB on June 9 with an estimated delivery to my dealer in the Seattle area July 7-13. I have been on Ford Chat every other day since then, trying to get the railcar number or any other updated info. It has...
What has been everyone's experience with the amount of time it takes to actually get your BS loaded on a railcar and moving? I received an email last Thursday 6/9 that my BS had been shipped and is expected to arrive at the dealer (in Kent WA) July 7-13. I contacted Ford Chat on Sunday and...
I just received my "built" email yesterday and wanted to post my timeline for those who can "appreciate" this journey we're all on together...hope this helps someone!
BS OB with moonroof, tech package, 360 assist+, no tow package.
