So, I ended up using the Ford OEM kit and returned the Tekonsha. It was a true pain to route the power wire as shown in the instructions: through the A pillar, down along the driver side all the way to the rear corner. Suffice to say I know how all the trim panels come off and are reattached now...

Right now I have both kits and am planning to install one or the other tomorrow. Tekonsha definitely wins for instructions, videos, T-harnesses, but I am still thinking about the OEM. Positive wire through the cabin or underneath? Harnesses or splicing? Long term durability? Looking for advice...
