Yeah.. looking at this more, I love the slogan choice, i like the icon additions, the fonts are great.. all this needs is some color variations.. outstanding!
I still am thinking about a long horizontal one that plays off the headlight design.. but not to replace this one.. as a sticker...
I LOVE this!! I can see a few different color options of this, and depending on colors you could still do a simplified landscape in the back, but this is AWESOME!!!
I also really really like that this is distinct from the B6G badge.
You have a good point about the trademarks as well...
So realistically, dealers MIGHT have demos on the show floor just before Christmas, ordered units showing up in January and February, and actual dealer stock more likely April/May?
I might not have a chance until this weekend, but I have some ideas...
btw, what part of NM? I'm thinking of moving to Sante Fe in 3-4 years, and what's your thoughts on the FJ compared to the Broncos?
Took at look at the press materials between meetings, and seems like the 3 things to play with would be:
Find Your Wild (which doesn't seem to be trademarked)
Built Wild (which is trademarked)
G.O.A.T. Modes (which is trademarked)
Maybe "G.O.A.T. Mode" (no s) and/or "Find your Wild" ...
Yeah, it is a bit overkill, but... the blessing of the BL+BL is that there's no messing with it.
You can call up a dealer and say I want a BL+BL in myfavcolor and be done. there's no messing with the dealer having 3 of the 5 options you want, or 7 instead of the 4 you want. This...
I really like the direction you're headed with this.. I think the badge version is really close.. Maybe bring in one of the marketing phrases. I'll try to look at their marketing materials and see what the approach is..
For the headlight one.. maybe have both headlights, and the wording/pic...
Think the simple decision comes down to, do you want true 4WD, or just AWD?
Sure 4WD lets you travel some tougher trails, but it's also going to help for snow/ice/sand, so it really depends on your driving needs.
Personally, I want the availability of 4WD, even though I rarely need it.
Visually, the most distinctive element is the headlights, with the strong horizontal element tying them together.. I'm thinking of glimpses taking those and making some kind of attitude with them.. don't want the angry eyes thing, but I think there's something there that could be worked with..
Depending on when I'm ready to buy, and when I've checked out a Sport in person, perhaps I'll plan a road trip with my wife, and drive the Sport back.. :D
Shorter, but that doesn't mean smaller. There's so much cladding on a Rav4, and the interior is tiny and cramped.
When I sat in a Rav4 it was the first vehicle ever I sat in where my knuckles hit the edge of the dash overhang from being on top of the steering wheel. Yikes!
Couple things...
My view of the "competition" are hardly any of that list, but yes, the Passport, Cherokee, Acadia AT4, even the Atlas Sport.
You can find my rundown of that comparison in other threads. But.. the TL:DR is most of the interiors suck, no 4WD, most look like bubbles...
So, the boys over in the Bronco6G forums are having a good ol' time with stickers and their theme and slogans.. all the while relegating us to the mall parking lots.. so.. enough is enough. We need our own "presence".. so, I ask.. what gets you pumped up about the Sport? What imagery...
