If the frame doesn't have significant damage and no air bags went off it might not be totaled.A lady i worked with was in an accident with Her Cadillac XT4 looked like front drivers side fender, front bumper and hood didn't look bad at all.but the Air Bags went off and those alone were like...
I agree but with these transmissions the electronics and Fuel Injection make it different than back then and they still do have clutches in them. And I never hear any clunks when putting the Maverick in gear with the High Idle when it's cold.
X2 the grass isn't always greener on the other side. One guy on here bought a brand new Hyundai Sante Fe and I told Him Car and Driver didn't like the Transmission in those. The guy came back on here later and said the transmission took a crap at 5,000 miles and IIRC Hyundai didn't have...
Wednesday when I left for work it was 45 degrees and I started the Maverick left it run maybe 2 minutes stopped at a store 1/4 mile from My house.Put it park it was idling under 1,000 rpm shut it off went in the store came back out and started it 1,500 rpm again put it in gear and drove away.
Not true My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB doesn't have the GPF and was built in Jan of 2025. And IIRC the GPF wasn't going to be used in all the states until June or July built vehicles.
I have a 2025 Maverick now but used to have a BS BB and turned it off on the Turn Signal stalk. After I talked to another Maverick owner who told me about it and I hated it and I'm glad I turned it off.
Nice looking BS OB I hope You have better luck with it than I did with the 2023 BS BB I had. That's why I now have a 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB and so far couldn't be happier.
OP did You try what I posted above? I started mine today after sitting over night it was 34 degrees and My high cold idle was 1,500 RPM so Yours is the the same as My 2025 XLT AWD Maverick with the 2.0 EB. .
My Brother,SIL and Niece had the same problem. They all got the Flu Shot one Year and all of them ended up having the flu 2 times in the same flu season.
FWIW You have the 1.5. EB not the 2.0 EB the OP has in His Badlands but nice to know that Your high idle drops under 1000 rpm in 45 seconds at -5 C. And FWIW I live in Northeast,Ohio and it's 27 degrees outside right now and it was snowing like crazy about 30 minutes ago with 2-3 inches of snow...
Next time You start it let it run for like 30 seconds put it in gear [reverse or drive] stop before You get out of your driveway put it in park and see what rpm the idle is at?
