One of the problems with exhaust systems is that they can rust from the inside. Condensation gets in and, if the system is made from inferior materials, there's not much that can be done about the interior rust.
I have no door panel, but I have a speaker! The upside is that the new speakers sound great. I was listening to Traffic on the way home.
I post my mistakes in the hope that it'll help someone else. Many others who've done the same have helped me over the years.
The one I watched didn't mention it either and said to just pull the plastic retainer out. That worked.... 3 times. On the last door, the clip broke off. I wish I'd ordered it from the site rather than go to the dealer thinking that they had it. Ah well, I'll know next time.
I'm in the same boat and will be hitting Ford this morning. There seem to be different parts for the right (passenger) side and left (driver side).
My RH part is:
Remote Door Latch Cable Clip | FordUS
Part #: 78431B14
Having said that, the side can be funky as heck to work through.
I had my install planned for today, but it rained. Thanks for the info. I guess I should order some Kydex before I get started. Did you jack up the Bronco for the installation?
Removing the entire front end is a PITA. The main reasons are the hidden bolts in the wheel wells and the two hidden clips in the corners of the fascia at the top. I just hate messing with all the plastic that is so prone to breaking. What are you installing?
Mine is a '73 Harley Sportster. The old Jag is gone. The before shot:
I decided to get rid of the seventies styling and have been going through the entire bike. New steel, wiring, paint, etc.
The engine just before installing electronic ignition. The jugs will get new paint and freshening...
