  1. What does this red error icon mean on my dash?

The owners manual should always be your first stop.
  2. Paint missing in engine bay 22 BS

This has been discussed before. It’s a common cost savings technique that most customers will never notice.
  3. 10,000 miles and 22.4 mpg

Nice! The best I ever got was just above 41 MPG on a 34 mile trip.
  4. 10,000 miles and 22.4 mpg

I’ve got 40 psi set in mine. The ride feels just fine.
  5. Should I switch to premium fuel?

Some modern cars DO get better fuel economy with premium. The problem with your statement is that you are thinking of older cars. Most modern cars are tuned to take advantage of higher octane in an effort to squeeze as much performance out of them as possible. Some modern cars will experience...
  6. Should I switch to premium fuel?

ECOā€˜s biggest advantage is cylinder deactivation, which IIRC will only happen under certain circumstances like driving at a steady speed for so many minutes (I.e. highway driving). The reduction in gas pedal sensitivity and the transmission gear shift map change helps, but it doesn’t really...
  7. Should I switch to premium fuel?

The easiest way to gain more MPG is to accelerate slower, and drive slower. Do not carry any extra weight that you do not need. Do not carry extra ā€œstuffā€ on the outside of the vehicle (any addition to the outside of the vehicle will add drag). I do a lot of highway driving and frequently...
  8. FordPass is watching you! Reporting your speed, G-forces, etc.

I can tell you that there is a lot of vehicle data that can be accessed by a dealership, and can be used to deny a claim if vehicle abuse is suspected. I worked at a dealership that did this.
  9. How well made is your Bronco Sport?

Perhaps we have better things to do than run around our car with a tape measure looking for flaws. ?
  10. How well made is your Bronco Sport?

The center rear seatbelt will blow around in the wind and bang on the seat.
  11. Mid April Builds..... BL with premium... B&O stereo sounds great. Opposite of what I read before buying

The problem with audio is it’s very subjective. What sounds great to someone might sound awful to someone else. I love my B&O, but I’ve never been a sound snob.
  12. Climate control - mind of its own

Well, this is interesting. I did a 3 hour drive today, HVAC in auto mode with recirc on and it never switched recirc off. So it definitely does not automatically turn off all of the time.
  13. How much of a difference does Eco mode make?

It won’t be much, a few miles per gallon, but it adds up. Eco mode uses cylinder deactivation under certain circumstances, such as highway cruising. https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/when-does-cylinder-deactivation-occur-with-1-5l-engine.6192/
  14. How much of a difference does Eco mode make?

It’s not just engine mapping, it’s also cylinder deactivation and will absolutely make a difference when cruising on the highway. https://www.broncosportforum.com/forum/threads/when-does-cylinder-deactivation-occur-with-1-5l-engine.6192/
  15. How much of a difference does Eco mode make?

That article does not reference the Bronco Sport, which uses cylinder deactivation when cruising.
  16. Cruise Control at lower speeds

Itā€˜s not that it purposely speeds up, it’s that gravity causes an increase in speed. Does your car have adaptive cruise? IIRC only models with adaptive cruise will brake when going downhill.
  17. Climate control - mind of its own

Every newer vehicle I’ve driven lately does this. It seems most manufacturers are moving to this type of HVAC logic.
  18. Frontal Collision NHSTA crash test results

    Impressive videos!
