Yes your spark plugs were past their time. However, the real cause of your stated issue was torque converter shudder which is very common with the 8F35 transmission.

So what Build of SYNC 3.4 were you on before the update? What Build are you on now?
Have you done a Master Reset of SYNC?
Your issues do not sound like an issue with CarPlay. If you have been running SYNC 3.4 Build 22251, you can experience all sorts of issues?

I have been checking for app updates many times a day. There have been lots of updates over the last few days since iOS26 was released.

A spark plug issue would not create the rhythmic pulsation showing on the tachometer.
This is a torque converter shudder. Usually caused by degradation of the transmission fluid. However, a mechanical issue with the torque converter can also create this problem.
The spark plugs are not your issue. The torque converter is your issue. Try the Lubegard fix. It may save you thousands of dollars. It worked for me.
