Those campers are adaptable to a great many different types of cars. I've had one on my MX-5 for nearly a decade no problem. I just make sure to change the oil every 15K miles instead of the usual 20K due to the added load on the engine. An overlanding buddy of mine even has one on his HD...
The pollen I've seen in North Texas (or any of the states I've lived in, for that matter) doesn't hold a candle to the literal pollen dunes I experienced in Alabama. The sheer volume of pollen produced by the pine trees where I lived was unreal. You could shovel it. But maybe I'm not living in...
I'd love to have tie down points at the front of the vehicle for canoes and kayaks and the like. I don't like that I'd have to tension straps against the edge of my hood to use the tow hooks.
You should move this to the Wheels, Tires, and Brakes Marketplace instead of posting it in General Topics. The Marketplace is where people will look to buy things.
I'm not sure, my V1 is the first gen so it's hardly in the "newer" category. But I disabled X-band notifications and that seems to filter out the overwhelming majority of false alarms. In my experience, it appears cops have migrated to K- and Ka-band radar while consumer vehicle radar-assisted...
I'm not a fan of mirror mounts for the BS. The plastic surround for cameras and such already blocks a lot of windshield. Plus I have to have my toll pass sticker horizontally centered on my windshield, so the detector would have to hang pretty low to clear that.
My Valentine One radar detector has always had problems sticking to the windshield. Suction cups are trash, so I've tried gluing the suction cups to the windshield. It works for a while, but eventually gravity prevails. Nothing wants to stick to the suction cups once summer rolls around.

There's a wiring harness in the A-pillar for accessories. I skimmed the factory instructions for using it and it looks like you have to take half the damn car apart to get to it.
For continuity, I'm adding my response to the your post earlier this morning in a different thread:
Only you can answer if it's worth it, as you'll be footing the bill should anything go wrong. You'll be at an increased risk of rollover. That said, I personally wouldn't sweat it. And neither...
Only you can answer if it's worth it, as you'll be footing the bill should anything go wrong. You'll be at an increased risk of rollover. That said, I personally wouldn't sweat it. And neither would Ford. Their own promo materials show a BL (presumably with BL package) hooning through the forest...
Don't put anything directly on the roof. It's not designed to carry loads. It sounds like crossbars would suit you best. How much does your aluminum boat weigh?
If you're interested in the 1UP racks you should check out the Quikr Mach2. I think it's a spinoff company from the original 1UP designer and their rack supposedly improves on the design in a lot of ways.
I wanted it but don't bike enough to justify the cost. And they hadn't started shipping...
I did a functions check of the compressor install today by testing out an inflatable off-road jack. Took 10 psi to get both wheels off the ground. The fabric panel under the driver side has a contour in it where I placed the jack. I didn't pay enough attention beforehand to know if that's the...
Factory tires should be at 33 psi. Most aftermarket tires should be pretty close to that, too. Don't inflate your tires to the pressure on the tire sidewall. That's max pressure and the majority of drivers will never need that much pressure in their tires.
The dynamic weight rating exists to limit poor driving characteristics due to the higher center of gravity resulting from tossing stuff up on the roof. Basically, Ford doesn't want you to drive home with a refrigerator up top only to roll over as you're whipping out of the Lowe's parking lot...
