Our collision on Feb 9 that destroyed our CX-5 started out as a deer strike. We hit it at around 10mph, and it trashed the bumper, grill, forward collision sensors, condenser and a bunch of other stuff. $4000 CDN in front end damage alone.
Our 2023 BS OB, in service for 3 weeks and 2500km, is at the dealership now for a howling noise in the rear diff. Has anyone had any luck getting the noise fixed? I've read several threads and Ford seems to like adding insulation to the rear. There's no way a diff should be making that much...
Installed door sill plates, as the sills were getting scuffed. Straightforward application, and warranted by Ford to the end of our 6yr/120,000KM PremiumCare contract.
There you have it, "Hills". We get 29-32 MPG in out 1.5 going from home to the cottage, which is around 100 miles round trip. And it's basically up and down hills the whole way, 70-72mph. Or in Metric (for my fellow canadians), 7.5-7.9 l/100km on a 160 km round trip, and keeping pretty much to...
Nah, eco-mode allows the speed to drop too much on the highway before downshifting. Our 1.5l 3-Squirrel protests too heavily when lugged, so it stays in Normal until things get slippery.
We hit a deer and were rear ended in our '20 Mazda CX-5 in early Feb. Insurance was going to do an extremely fair payout, mostly because they were suing the other guy. My wife decided she wanted a BS, and I didn't want to go backwards in features and convenience items so we got our '23 BS OB...
We haven't had any real snow to speak of this year. The worst part of getting here were the potholes, which are normal. If there'd been legit snow and ice, the BS would have been equipped with some serious snow tires on a set of steelies. The temp is suppose to hit the low to mid 40's today...
Took (my) first decent drive in the Baby Bronc yesterday. Headed up to the family cottage, which is about 50 miles from home. Got almost 30mpg, which I consider decent. At this time of year, the roads that the cottage is located on are bombed out, and best traversed by a Hummer or Duece and a...
What are some brands of roof-rack crossbars that should be considered or avoided? Not looking for super heavy duty, but a product that'll stand up to carrying camping gear or kayaks to/from the cottage.
