What mode does the BS start in when you turn on the engine? Does it remember the previous drive mode selected when the engine was last switched off, or does it default to Normal?
The stripes on the Free Wheeling look much better on darker paint colors, IMO. Something about the contrast of bright stripes against a neutral background make the colors really pop.
I've dabbled in hybrid technology for the past 3 years with my Tucson but want to go back to full ICE. Why? Because driving a hybrid has resulted in me always looking to get the little EV light on the dash to light up. It's like a game, and I find myself feathering the throttle and coasting as...
Ahhh....memories of my Dad's Bronco II. Having to manually lock the front hubs when moving to 4WD. I also remember my Dad having to manually unlock and drive backwards a few feet to fully disengage the 4WD system. Not sure why this was needed, but I think it was a procedure outlined in the...
Sport Mode is great for quicker off the line response when you want extra power. I only use it occasionally on my Tucson however since it tends to negatively impact gas mileage, but it sure can be fun! I assume Eco mode is the exact opposite and prioritizes fuel economy over performance.
I searched for info on the difference between 4HI and 4LO and found this tidbit:
WHEN SHOULD YOU USE 4HI AND 4LO?
In simple terms, when conditions are good, or when you’re driving on pavement at higher speeds, use 2Hi. When conditions are slippery – say deeper snow or mud – but you’re driving at...
Top of the line, whatever that may be. Could still be the Badlands, or a new as yet unnamed more off-road capable version if Ford decides to go that route.
I definitely want the 2.0 liter engine, plus all the bells and whistles. Since my Tucson will be fully paid off in a couple of months it...
Ahem...getting back to the topic of this thread...
I read the OP's initial post and guess what? I still plan to trade in my Tucson for a BS when the refreshed 2025 models become available. Many of the OP's complaints seem to be nit-picking (no power lift gate, having to disable auto start stop...
A quick search of the forums shows you have mentioned Pedal Max 15 times in the following threads:

I think the Free Wheeling looks OK. Not really my cup of tea. But I do like the interior design with the sunset colors on the seats and the red trim. So much different than your basic black.
Ford should go all LED lights in the back. Incandescent bulbs are so last century. All lighting in the front is high tech, including LED turn signals, right? Show the BS butt some love as well.
Nice! My Dad had a red over white Bronco II with bare bones amenities. I think the only option he got was the automatic transmission. No air conditioning, just the basic radio...and manually locking front hubs that you actually had to twist a dial on each hub to lock them for 4 wheel drive! He...
I hope to have a gotcha day later this year. Saw a BS in the grocery store parking lot on Saturday and my roommate gave it a thumbs up. I call the design modern retro, cause it looks nothing like all the rolling jelly beans out there now.
Panic buttons are there for drunks to find their car in a crowded parking lot. All kidding aside, I have a friend who uses her panic button all the time to scare away any lurkers hiding around her car at night. Don't know if it makes much of a difference but it gives her peace of mind.
Anybody care to guess when Ford will make the switch to the refreshed BS? I’m hoping sometime later this year, maybe in the September to November timeframe for the full reveal. Until then I expect to see more photos with less and less camo. Really looking forward to see what Ford will do.
