I’ve been checking other forums to see results with different brands. Particularly ones that have been on for a year or more and how they’ve held up. Obviously, LineX has seemed to be the best but is really pricy and not DIY. Raptor and Rustoleum seem to be the brands that hold up best for DIY...

Not sure… I mean on some colors it’s not horrible, but yeah… I mean even Honda has a “black edition” Honda Pilot. I see that Ford offers a blacked out package for the Ranger but it’s ridiculously priced…

Nice set up! Very much on a similar path. Traded my F-150 for the BS, will soon trade out the tandem kayak and solo9 and 8 footers for inflatable kayaks. Actually had a complete rupture of my biceps tendon in July loading the 13.5 kayak on the truck. Downsizing is a good thing!

Did the rear lift gate lettering with vinyl decals. Turned out ok. Still not sure if I really like it this way or if I should hyperdip them so they’re completely blacked out. There was a tiny bronco in the bag too so I found him a home as well. I admittedly screwed up the front so I had to order...

The “bad” idea actually may give it the most secure attachment in the front. From what I saw under mine it looked to attach to the plastic bumper.

Love to see what you come up with. I have a Big Bend so no skid plate but would love to add one. Probably add a 1.5’ level/lift as well to compensate for any added weight on the front end.
