that looks very much captive, which is strange. i don't see how you can get to the through bolt that secures that LCA through that bushing. you would need to hold one end and loosen the other. looks like they put the LCA in and kept welding the sub frame around it.

it is, this is the third or fourth cracked converter I've heard of on the forum. like stircrazy mentioned, ford recently put out a service notice to the 1.5L owners.

That makes sense. Ive also never needed hub centric rings. Never even thought about it. All aftermarket and factory wheels I've ever had use cone seating lugs. They basically center themselves. I don't think anyone was exaggerating, i am surprised however anyone even bothered to notify you...

I’ll add this to the list of reasons why i don't trust stealerships. Do your aftermarket wheels use different lugs that aren't cone seated?
