The former. Iāve made up many explanations: Reenabled after a software update? Reenabled after I put something on the back seat? Neither seems to really be the answer.
I canāt find other posts on this so pardon me if itās already discussed somewhere else. I have turned off the rear occupant alert 4-5 times and it wonāt stay disabled. Anyone else have the same issue?

Since the phone had just updated, I assumed that was the problem, but then couldnāt get it to work with a different phone that wasnāt updated. Seemed like too big of a coincidence for it to have been Sync, given the timing of the phone update. I tried all day to get it to work with no luck then...
And then it just started working. Iād tried different phones, different cables, reset everything. Re-paired everything. Still didnāt work yesterday. Then this morning it was fine. Maybe Sync updated last night?
My CarPlay quit working. Of course it happened right after my phone updated, but I havenāt seen anything saying the update causes problems. The blue light around the USB data port isnāt glowing. Is it supposed to always? I canāt remember. The phone charges, and is recognized. I can play music...
