I ordered The 4WP kit today for my Base. I'm not planning on up sizing my tires until the 225 Wildpeak trails are in need of replacement, but I'm not clear on whether the 245/65 claims by the vendor are only for the Badlands.
With that said, I'll report back once the kit is off backorder and...
Any idea if airing down to as low as 15# is going to be an issue on tires this small? My base has 225/65/R17 Wildpeak Trails (standard load, 2-ply.)
I'm not looking to do crazy off roading, but might see muddy or sandy areas at times (specifically going to be going to Chaco Culture Park this...
I do! If you check the Owners Manual it lists it as being engaged when the Rear Defrost is on, and it certainly seemed to work yesterday on my way home.
I can't see any element as you have in the rear window, but the ice certainly seems to be melting faster than it was before I was using the...
There's a product called WoolWax. It's a lanolin based compound which is sprayed on. It isn't permanent, it will wear off, with the acceleration expedited in high wash areas like fender wells and from underbody washes...
I had it applied before the car had been in any kind of dirt, 2nd week of...
In my experience that handle, for the driver, is the steering wheel.
I bought a bare bones base model on 1/5. Almost 900 miles on it now. It's my new daily, replacing a well loved 2005 CR-V.
It's a revival of the original cute-utes of the 90s, with modern tech and excellent performance...
So far I really like them. No road noise, and they behave like legit ATs in the snow.
Haven't had them in mud or dirt yet, but I presume I'll be happy with them. Wish I had a little more rubber for airing down, but again, pros/cons.
This is why I stuck with 225/65 on my Base. Wildpeak A/T trails will do anything any non-BL/FE has any business doing, and they're only 3lb heavier per corner than the OEM continentals.
I'd imagine that's the goal, but time will tell. I certainly wouldn't let that keep me from maintaining the engine any differently than a strictly direct injection engine, but it should at least stave off the sorts of valve fouling issues that direct-only is know for.
Through all of my...
Both. The 1.5 in the BS, though, is not naturally aspirated.

Looks like Traction Control is just an off/on in Driver Assistance, it's just automatically activated on start-up.
I'm a defensive driver, and at I haven't had the pre-collision assist kick in yet at any setting.
I'm just glad to have the understanding that it's just the frosty windshield...
Yep. It's not a big deal, just annoying.
My big question was whether or not the Radar Sensor was included on our Bases without ACC, which I was able to glean is not... So now I've just gotta remember to clean the windshield mounted camera when it frosts. No biggie.
I'm glad you're enjoying...
It sounds like AdvanceTrac is just a fancy term for Ford's combination Traction control and rollover avoidance control, and that it comes on just like everything else, every time you start the car.
To disable 'AdvanceTrac' is to disable the entirety of the TCS, and I'm not sure I want to do...
