I’d do one or the other. Spacers or complete suspension lift. Don’t mix. Will be shit.
It doesn’t matter what lift and tires you run. The BS is always gonna look like it needs a lift.
I wouldn’t go over 2” on these. This is also the first time I’ve ever run a spacer lift.
Would never do it...
I like the vehicle that’s the problem. I’d rather do the work myself and get reimbursed by Ford. I know what I’m doing. And would be done right Instead of going back again and again.
Most people are ok with subpar work, I’m not.
No I said they worked better before the tsb. Now I have the noise and worse braking performance. Plus the rears seem to stick. And Ford won’t fix things they’ve fucked up.
They tell me they’ve already fixed them. I’ve been dealing with this with Ford corporate and multiple dealers.
I can’t be...
10k miles and year later on my 22 BL and have had nothing but issues. Month of that time was spent in the shop for any number of reasons. Week here, week there, few days here. Is in shop once a month.
This month is a year of ownership and I’m still waiting on warranty parts and repairs from...
I had brake squeal on my Acura. They replaced the pads and rotors to another type and issue went away. Was a tsb also. But the Acura issue didn’t affect braking performance.
The Ford noise is a loud air horn type sound that vibrates the steering wheel and affects braking. The brakes don’t bite...
If you aren’t wheeling hard just spend the few hundred on a spacer lift. Makes no sense spending 3k for a DD. I would just leave it stock height and run the 245/65/17s. honestly.
But whatever you run. Don’t run rough country. Just because it’s available, doesn’t mean it’s good
I just turn the TC completely off and leave in regular mode. Thing goes everywhere. I prefer the control. Got over 2 feet here and just tooled through it all.
PS drift mode
Any added rotational weight is going to affect your mpg. You’re adding 10-30lbs per corner. It’ll depend on what tire, weight, tread pattern, size, driving style etc. on how much it does.
Probs average 25mpg on the 3cyl and 19/20ish on 2.0 with heavier tires. These motors kinda suck fuel with...
I had this done about 1500 miles ago and noise is back. They also replaced the rear pads. Brakes recently became squishy and BL doesn’t brake hard. Like you never get to the point that abs really bites. Just a mushy slow stop. Before the tsb they worked great, even touchy at times.
I’ve had...
I don’t even have 10k on the fronts and the rears were replaced maybe 1500 miles ago. I’ve posted a video on another thread about the noise.
And it has nothing to do with surface rust
They’re replacing the apim module on mine Friday. I lose the whole center stack, all hvac, cams and all sensors. And then have to disconnect battery to get it work again half the time. Been waiting since October.
I just want the brakes to grab effectively. These do not inspire confidence. They...
Yeah I’m more than 1k miles into the tsb also. The brakes have gotten worse feeling the more miles I put on.
Hopefully you don’t have to slam on your brakes. Someone pulled out of a spot at a gas station and me going maybe 5mph and slamming on the brakes I didn’t stop, just squish and then...
