I noticed I was losing coolant around 19,000 miles on my '23 OBX. Took it into local body shop and they did pressure test and determined that the water pump itself had a small weeping so it was just a slow leak that probably evaporated once it hit bottom surface (or floor). Just had my pump...
I've had my Outer Banks a little over a year now, I have only had 1 rock chip that needed filled. I am getting the Aeroskin II bug/rock deflector to hopefully prevent this. But I wouldn't let the windshield integrity be the only thing holding you back from getting one, they are awesome!
I have a 2023 Outer banks with slow weeping coolant leak at pump, I take it in Thursday to Ford dealer, do you happen to know updated part number? I'm sure it's somewhere else on this forum too, TIA. Just want to make sure this doesn't happen to me as well.
Just had to take my 2023 Outer Banks with 19k miles into the shop for low coolant. They performed pressure test and found water pump had small, slow leak. They also noticed there was some AC dye found, indicating possible AC leak. Taking it into my local Ford dealership for warranty repair work...
I put these on my OBX wheels before winter, some of the vinyl pieces have scrapped off due to road conditions, leaving me with some chrome poking out in places but I do have some spares in the garage so I can peel off the torn one and replace it, I like them!
There were multiple users yesterday and day before having issues with Fordpass, I did too and tried updating app and then deleting and reinstalling app and it's been working fine since. Another solution would be to update Sync in your BS if that's a possibility.
Update: taking it in to my Ford dealership tonight (they are giving me a loaner) and they will repair it first thing tomorrow morning for $60, not too bad.
On this morning's commute to work on the highway a rock came up from another vehicle (they were about 30 ft in front of me in the lane to my right) and hit my windshield in the upper left corner, I see no visible cracks, just the impact point. I have never had a cracked windshield so is this...
OMG it was this! Just now when I was parking and getting out, I heard the annoying ding again but then looked down at my headlight dial and I had turned it off auto! So that explains it, thank you for the insight!
hmm I wouldn't think so, I usually have my backseats down anyway, and don't have kids or keep things on the seat.. so yeah I'm not sure why its beeping at me lol
I believe auto headlamps, I don't ever mess with the headlamp dial though, just to turn auto-brights off. Also, I turn off the auto start/stop every time I get into the car.
My issue is a bit different than that thread. I don't hear any honking, just the dinging sometimes when I open my driver door after putting it in park. Not a huge issue though lol, just strange.
Hello! Sometimes when I park my 2023 outerbanks and open the door to get out, the car will beep at me as if the engine is still on and I opened the door. It only does this about 50% of the time and I cannot figure out what I am doing differently. When it's parked and I open my door and hear the...
Yes this is normal and I believe they all do that. The hood is flat enough to where water pools against the bumps in the hood and slides down hood when coming to a stop then flicks the water back onto windshield haha its fun to watch.
