I read the article and one thing stands out. The Chinese spec Bronco is 5-6“ taller and wider than the domestic 6G. Oof. That’s a lot of truck. Good luck with the parking garages.
I’ve had XM & SiriusXM radios in my cars since 2002. I’m a musician who bores too easily and need waaaay more variety than terrestrial radio provides or any playlist I could conjure. Pandora’s also superb at meeting the need. So I happily pay for both. Having both in the BS, however, is a first...
2035 could have surprises. 12 years is a long time in tech, I suspect many battery/range issues will have been solved for the EVs themselves. The charging infrastructure? I think that’s gonna be the massive challenge with far too many points of failure. I believe the cars will be ready and on...
Wouldn’t a 2.7 introduce negative aspects for a lightweight 4WD vehicle? A quick lookup shows 315-335 hp and 350-400 fp torque. Seems overkill to me.
Caveat: I’m a newbie at all things trucks and offroad. But in an automobile too much power makes handling dangerously slippery. Witness all the...
I stayed in the Lodge. It’s immediately adjacent the Bronco building and has a gorgeous setting. It’s also a freaking shrine to an actor who ain’t my cuppa, so there’s that. There are many vastly less pricy options just down the road in Moab proper that are much closer to both National Parks and...
I just attended my first Off-Roadeo. Although I’ve driven extensively on snow, ice, dirt, gravel, etc. for many decades, off-roading was entirely new. The TL;DR, it was a blast, more Sport owners should do this. :)
The Utah location is spectacular. The lot had 3 smalls, and at least 18 bigs...
Oh look, two otters cooling their heels on slickrock mid-trail in Moab at the Off Roadeo yesterday. After five to six hours on a level three trail, I won’t listen to the haters for a moment. These are amazingly competent vehicles and sure-footed as mountain goats. And 18 degrees of pitch...
Solid advice. I had a 1968 Imperial coupe for about twenty years. Even with discs in the front (good luck finding those parts ever again), you needed to plan braking. Patiently.
I just sold my manual BMW 328. Drove it daily for a decade before moving to CO. Doing anything uphill requires ground clearance and A/4WD. BMW had neither. But a Bronco Sport with a manual? Being able to use engine braking would be awesome when descending thousands of feet in elevation.
The manual FS Bronco was impossible to find without brutal dealer markups. When I found any, they were in a low trim. The greater length would have meant giving up most remaining workspace in my small garage. I ski and wanted to mount a ski rack fast. Easy on the BS. Lastly, the mpgs. Just...
7 speed manual transmission with the crawler gear. Metal bumpers and exterior parts where it’s currently plastic, cloth, etc. White roof as a non-heritage option could be nice, because summer sun.
Hello everyone,
I had been watching the Bronco space since the moment I heard the big Bronco came with a manual transmission. Unwilling to wait months/years plus ADM for a vehicle, I looked at the Sport. I found/drove/bought mine at a dealer an hour away who actually had a car on site they...
