That’s our 2002 4.6L GT convertible. 74K miles & still alot of fun. It’s in excellent shape, and I’ve been spending time tweeking it out to make it even nicer. All the typical Mustang mods with more still planned. It’s our little show car/hot rod. Thanks for noticing! ???
Didn’t order it. Had the ‘15 Escape in for routine service, and as I was perusing the lot, there it was. Always preferred the boxier shape of our ‘11 Escape, so the BS OBX really hit all the right buttons. Snapped a couple of pictures & sent them to the wife, went & picked her up on the test...
Well, actually yesterday. Had the Steeda rear sway bar installed, using their recommendation & starting with the center set of holes. Again, you might say it’s my imagination, but my butt feels just a little more firmly planted. ??
Good & hot today, so I installed the lift gate lettering covers. Still undecided about the front grill lettering, though. Not sure black is the way to go there. Considering a color change for those letters to Area 51. ?

A word of warning, though. When we first bought our BS OBX, it too was ‘for the wife’, but since I’ve recently sold my F150 to a buddy of...
Forget the brand name off hand, but they’re large floor mats I picked up at Menards. There’s 3 of them across my floor. Never liked parking over bare concrete. It sweats too much in this part of the country at times. ???
I’ve been a mechanic for more years than I care to count, and the torque wrench in my arm told me I tightened down with the same force that it took for me to remove the oem bolts. ???
Installed the Steeda strut tower brace today. 15 minutes from box to truck, & most of that time was trying to decide what the 2 aluminum spacers were intended for. ??
Aluminum hoods have a corrosion menace all their own, and Ford is very familiar with it, as is anyone that has owned a Gen 5 Mustang. Aluminum hood corrosion was a BIG issue with those cars, at least in the midwest.
(We had 2, both developed corrosion bubbles, mostly along the leading edge.)...
I had a Magna Flow axel back system installed, with the black outlets. Outlets are also available in chrome.
