Update: New price is now $500 OBO. I plan to randomly keep dropping the price now until they sell. BTW- Bronco Sport wheels bolt right onto the Ford Maverick truck, just keep and use your 14mm Maverick lug nuts if doing so.
Hi everyone, I am selling my custom winter wheels (a wheel is a rim with TPMS/centering ring, and a tire), in excellent working condition with no curb rash nor dents. I am asking for $750 or Best Offer. I’m an absolute fanatic about my rims and tires. I always buy them assembled, mounted and...
I heard very little push from my dealer on warranties- either in 2021 when I signed my lease nor this year when I bought it out. He did mention it in 2021, gave a couple numbers, but this year not even a mention. IMHO it depends on the dealer and worse ones push more for sure.
I’ve never bought...
Good question IMHO. I have the base audio system. With the base amp, can I get improved sound output from the rears, just by adding better speakers?
Edit: Saw the post herein by Meanderthal - thanks - looks like the answer to my question is a (qualified) yes.
Looks nice! Thanks much for the suggestion. I’m trusting you! Ordered the muffler just now from Amazon, a Flowmaster FX #72206, $111. So now the real work begins ?
Agreed. I don’t have the uplevel B&O system in my Sport. I’m not much of an audiophile so I wouldn’t even be able to tell if I did have it. But while I do agree the standard rear speakers are smallish. I too solved the issue on mine by ramping up the rear fade quite a bit. For my modest audio...
Oh forgot two things. One, I washed the tailgate top with Dawn dish soap n water to strip off car wax before starting; and two, I would strongly recommend doing the install when parts and car are above 60F.
A few notes:
1. First I checked fit n finish on the part. Got this Fenqing part off Amazon per your inputs, with a $10 coupon there netting a final price of $108 with free Prime shipping. Part arrived timely and well-packaged, with flawless paint (and note: I am *extremely picky*!)
2. I tested...
Indeed. The unfortunate truth is that due to Covid, supply chain chronic challenges, and the humongous complexity of our modern cars, all brands are suffering from more issues now. New Atlas discussed this in the link below. As a Ford fan, I’m not terribly proud of Ford’s ranking (somewhat below...
That is true. Technically only the Maverick Tremor shares the exact same PTU and RDU with the Badlands Sport. But despite the hyperbole involved, the point is there are (and will continue to be) a lot out there.
To me, the far bigger powertrain failure risk overall for these is the trans. More...
Agreed. And there’s a side benefit to that, longer-term: getting parts. All this commonality with other Fords and Lincolns bodes well, for Sport owners seeking yard parts such as used RDU’s - not to mention more options in third-party new parts at places like Rock Auto.
Agreed. Forums like this are a sounding board, and often the most motivated owners are those struggling with issues on the given make and model. I’m sure there’s a big, big majority of owners who not only don’t bother to post here about their satisfaction, but also don’t even care there is such...
Agreed.
I studied up on how to change the trans fluid on these cars. Thanks to info on here and on the Ford Maverick truck club forum site, I was able to learn it and do it myself on my Sport last weekend. Total cost for my ATF fluid flush: $50 for the five quarts of Mercon ULV fluid.
Indeed… that’s a Red Herring in the list. There’s other threads on here about windshield troubles on these cars and it’s hard to convince me those are somehow Ford’s fault. The Sport simply has a more vertical glass than a lot of other SUV’s. It’s part of the picture for such cars. I was...
Sorry folks that I don’t recall the source. But I read that only Bronco Sports sold in states following California emissions law, will have a GPF in 2025. Thus here in MI for example, we only follow US Federal emissions rules so the 25’s sold here will still have the same 250 hp (on high octane...
